Nurburgring Hotel

I have found a hotel for the Ring Trip which I am booking in the next day or 2.

I have provisionally booked 2 x Double (Me & Laura / Paul & Zoe) 2 x Twin (BigE & Steve / Duncan +1) 1 x single Martyn.

Jacqueline has said she has a few more vacancies if anyones interested. Please note that she requires a 50% deposit, due to being let down previously. I have let her know that when ever any of us contact her, we will be stating we are from South East Scoobies, don't forget to mention this.

I still have enough rooms free for that weekend.
I require a 50% deposit from "1st timers". Unfortunately, I have been let down too often when I do not take a deposit. If you return a deposit is not required.

Thank you for your inquiry. I am able to offer you for the period from 29th May (arrival) until the 1st June (departure) ( 3 nights) 2 double rooms and 1 single.
The price for each double room is 68,00 Euros daily and for the single room, 45,00 Euros daily. Our abundant breakfast buffet is included in the quoted price.
We have secure parking space for cars and motorbikes free of charge

Although I was in with the other Hotel,would be good to stay together and this Hotel seems to give a little more faith/confidence.

I have sent an email, now waiting for a reply.

Jacqueline has e-mailed me to check that we are not double booking.

I have told her that the original booking was for:

I have told her that Richards & Scotts enquiries are extra to the original booking and that there may be more.

Further to the above post. I have just recieved confirmation of my booking.

Jacqueline will reply to your e-mails individually with details of how to pay the 50% deposit (there are 3 ways, no credit cards though) which need to be paid by 2nd March 2009 to guarantee your reservation.

Just had a thought it might be worth waiting a little before paying the deposits,
depending what the exchange rate does. I must get a crystal ball.

Having booked 2 rooms total cost = E408
at the moment that works out at = £374.23

When having to pay the deposits before the 2nd March that could make a difference, do we pay now or gaze into the crystal ball and wait??

Then of course it depends on what rate the Hotel is using.

its a bit of a gamble! but I'm just gonna pay it now otherwise ill forget, its done and dusted then. something else to tick of the list!

Someone did suggest a weekday evening meet on another thred about meeting up those that are going to chat about trip and ideas and organisation, times, places, things to take etc

I think thats a great idea. That way we can hopefully cover everything in one go.

I have had an email from the hotel telling me they are not there for a while, probably gone skiing.
The deadline was the 2nd March I will pay closer to the time, having had confirmation of booking.

I'm going to transfer £150.00 this weekend.
