Default Scumbags!!

So in perpetration for Leeds castle tomorrow, I have a whole day set aside for detailing the one and giving her a well deserved clean. Until I get home from work at half 1 this morning to find this.

Some little oxygen thieves (probably drunk), decided that driving a golf erratically on a tight road was a good idea. After hitting the 1 and next doors jag, they decided that the best thing to do was speed off without a second thought. Luckily my gf got the reg, and next door has CCTV. But it now means I have to get the CCTV footage, go down to the station, ring my insurance company and then if they let me I can start polishing. It's going to be a long day, and now it's going to look like a wreck next to all the shiny cars at the show!

****!

Sorry to see that mate.

Might not feel like it now, but it could be much worse. If you didn't have the reg and CCTV footage then the little sod would be untraceable.

Hope you get it sorted out.

Oh bugger

Still bring it along tomorrow, just get a big plaster and stick it in the middle of the damage and it'll make a few chuckle.

Hope the police manage to do something to trace the sods and you get it sorted without too many hassles.

Hope you get sorted.

Thanks guys. Just went for a drive and found the culprit car, and spoke to the police. Apparently it's registered to a lady in Maidstone, and was reported trying to run somebody over just minutes before. I'm still off to give it a wash and polish and I'll be there tomorrow. Even if it's just to admire all your shiny rides.

Crikey, you did well to drive away from it.

Right thing to do, but it must have been tempting to go and have a chat!

I was actually quite lucky, as when I got out to look at the car the police drove past and I flagged them down. I was actually going to start knocking on doors to see who's it was. A friend of a friend actually owns a body shop, so if I can pull a few strings and play my cards right it might end up with a full respray and a wheel refurb. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that.

Exactly the way to look at it mate. I remember when someone went into the back of my hawk (not Jimmy this time lol) and I got a shiny new bumper which had previously had a scrape on it so wasn't all bad in the end.

Nice scratch from the back of the drivers door all the way down and across the wheel! Most of it should polish out. Just been informed now that the car was stolen. Watched the CCTV, he was driving with no lights on! Absolute scum! Just glad no one was injured.

Really sorry to see this mate, I hope everything works out for you in getting the car repaired and the little scumbags that did it are found and punished.

I had someone not too long ago run a push bike across my boot (kids I think) put 2 massive scrapes right across the right hand side of the boot had to have the boot resprayed by my mate who is a sprayer he is bloody good at what he does too as you can not even tell the boot has been resprayed, then about a week after that being sorted same thing happened along the passenger front door (kids again I think as each time my car is damaged it is parked up at home) I know only too well how you feel as I have experienced it 1st hand myself it makes your blood boil hope they get caught by the police one way or another.
