Turbo Spec : 7cm or 8cm, 9 blade or 12 blade
Interested in your views and what do you have.
Thinking of speccing up a TD05-18G and wondering whether to go for a 7cm or 8cm exhaust housing and also whether to go for a 12 or 9 blade turbine wheel. The housing makes no difference to price, but the turbine is more expensive for the 9 blade option. The 7cm spools better but may suffer surge, the 8cm is a little laggier but will give more power. I assume a 9 blade spools quicker as less mass and more aerodynamic design. |

I'm sure the 18g was much less prone to this though.. I would go with the larger 8cm exhaust housing and the best billet wheel you can get.. if your doing it with that turbo you might as well make the best unit possible, less prone to surge most possible power etc, from my understanding you can make a solid 380bhp from one with all the relevant supporting mods.

Already spoken with Braveheart and the route I'm taking ends up cheaper, with 12 months warranty, if indeed I do go that route.

I have a turbo td04l-13t which I have replaced the turbine with that of Kinugawa 9 blades and it has given me very good results, I do not notice that it pushes lower but if it delivers more and better above, obviously it does not stay so much Higher gas expulsion design delivers on promise.
