Default Review: Golf GT TDi 170 - not bad!

I could be onto something here MODS. Maybe when we drive another car that particularly impresses or depresses, we could have a section to post it up in. Roadtests or some such rubbish, anyway...............as some of you know, my scooby has gone in for some work and I have got a Golf GT TDI 170 DSG (57 plate) as a courtesy car. For anyone considering one of these all I can say is,what a cracking little car, its a bit eratic at times as the torque seems to overwhelm the traction control, but around town its bloody quick. It feels morel ively at times than mine. Its still suffers with the diesel trate of completely running out of puff quickly, and probably feels worse as it gets to high revs really quickly, it still sounds like a taxi, but all in all i'm impressed. I think the trip computer is buggered though as it reads some ridiculous MPG of 50 odd, which cant be right for a car (a pushbike maybe). Not saying for one minute I would swap it for mine, but as a main family car/company car or cheaper to run replacement for a scooby, Its nice.

Roadtest over!

Well, WRX Paul has kindly offered for me to meet at PP and jump in with him (now thats what I call camoradery) (spelling?), or I may just spend the 39p that its going to cost me to do the round trip in the golf!. Not too sure yet. If I am on my own I may take up pauls offer, but if its to be a bit of a family trip out, then I'll drive the golf, and we can all stand in the car park and thro eggs at it.

More importantly, what will you be in. The gorgeous car.............................. or your M3
