Question engine help.... wont start

My97 uk turbo wont start. I changed over the faulty maf which got rid of my eml and car ran fine.
Now the car doesnt run at all. Smells really petrolly and has spark.

Ive spkoen to a man i know who strips them for a living and he seems to think with my symptoms it could be piston wash?? The engine seems to be turning over a little faster than usuall i think.

Anyone have any ideas where to start?
please

If turning and not firing, it probably is chucking in unburnt fuel and causing bore wash a little, but pop out the plugs out if needs be, and it will soon dry out...

Have you tried changing cam and crank sensors ?. If they are faulty would stop it from firing.
