2003/2004 PPP
What rear Prodrive box does the 2003/2004 PPP'd WRX use.
Is it the round box or the oval WR sport box ? Reason I ask is just remapped a friends WRX that came with the oval box. Read out the ECU and to our suprise it had already been mapped (he's only had it a week). Running 1.1bar (stock is about 0.9bar) dropping to 0.8 at redline and running 10.0AFR....standard WRX AFR is always mapped rich so fuel map looked quite stock, although alot of the mid-range values seemed to be 'block' editted and top end AFR was vey close to stock. Asuumed this was ECUTEK flashed, expecting it to stop me reflashing due to the infamous ECUTEK block out and license. Nope...let me flash away all afternoon. Anyway back to original question ??? what backbox on a PPP. As interested to know if this was was PPP'd or just had an ECU remap. |

Thinking about it though, the jumper connector that I have to connect a jumper block too was tucked up out the way and looked in-molested. So either ECUTEK don't use this connector during the reflash, or the ECU was sourced from another vehicle. |

Re: 2003/2004 PPP
As far as I know, the PPP'd cars came with a round exit. If you went to subaru and bought a back box off the shelf, which I did a few years ago on my old WRX, then it would be oval. I was told you could not buy a round exit off the shelf, it was only supplied on a PPP'd car.
Hope it helps scott. Steve
