Default Clay bar and a wax

Took the scoob to work today at heathrow as I'm on standby so decided to give the old girl a good seeing too.

Treated her to a good wash, rinse and a dry followed by a Mer clay bar all over then a good hard wax and a final seal.

My paint work has never felt so smooth and clean and the colour in the sun is Awesome. Really pleased with the results.

Thanks chaps. :0)

Tbh Ian I was expecting a lot of splats from bugs on the front but I only counted 5 or 6 and they just wiped off so easy with a clean cloth and minimal effort. Can only think it was the amount of wax I had put on the car that stopped them from sticking.
After wax I used autoglym extra gold seal, the stuff is so strong in smell and is like water but goes on and comes off really easy. Literally wipe on sparingly ( no rubbing ), let it dry hazy for 30/40mins then wipe off. The colour seems much deeper.
All tucked up in the garage now for some new bits and bobs to go on. ;0)

I've used it for years and like it a lot. If you remember the wheels on the RA at Leeds Castle they have had extra on them from 2005. And the paint is still spot on.

Nice job on the car.

Thanks fella. I do remember how clean it was and never thought about using on the wheels although mine are satin black so don't think it would work. I'm totally gob smacked buy the stuff and how good it works, even after the drive home round the M25 the car is now in the garage and still silky smooth.
Going to buy a big bottle as the application I used was from a work college who said try it to see if I like it and I do!!!
How many times a year do you apply it?? After every wash or 6 monthly?

I use to top it up on my car at least once a month really just to build up the layers and just use detailing spray between washes.

I use it at the start and end of the show season. Two coats at a time. I find that it is so hard it helps keep the dreaded swirl marks at bay.

looks awesome ! I can also recommend Chemical guys Jetseal 109 sealant, topped up with Pete's 53 wax. Gives stunning finish. But your car looks mint - amazing shine !
