Default TRS Stages Rally, Brands Hatch - 22nd January 2012

TRS Brands Hatch stages 22nd Jan 2012.
Went this year , great day out , plenty of quick mk2 escorts, subarus + various tarmac machinery. Get up close to the action plus the servicing. :rally:

Was a good day out last year, despite being a bit chilly!

Entrance fee for specators is £13 on the gate, or £10 in advance from MSV.

Sounds like a good one.

We have got a few cars to do in January (True Colours ), but if clear that weekend I might have a bit of that

Don't know if anyone is planning to attend this (I'm unsure if I'll be making it), but I thought I'd post up the details.

Full stage maps are now up online here (first car hits Stage 1 at 10 AM):

http://brandshatchstages.co.uk/sites...geDiagrams.pdf

And the latest entry list can be found here:

http://chelmsfordmc.co.uk/Entry/TRSBHS12/EntryList.php

Couple of Darian's and the Aston Martin GT should make for good viewing!

Apologies for the double post, but a few more details for anyone planning to go:

I have just been told that, unlike last year, spectators will be unable to access the centre of the circuit (i.e. the pitlane, inner paddock etc), South Bank or the rally stage areas. I assume this also means that you're unable to get to Druids and watch from there. I'm trying to find that out for sure though!

I don't like to criticise up-and-coming motorsport events... but I agree.

I think the charge is a bit on the steep side and now reading that access to the track will be very limited has pretty much put an end to the thoughts I had about going.

I do wonder if they want to put people off a bit though, as they clearly weren't prepared for the volume of people who turned up last year.

Some good news for those going: South Bank and Druids will now be accessible to spectators. As with last year though, you'll have to walk round the long way to get there!

At least thats something mate, the best viewing requires you to get round the back to Druids/South Bank. Also, its going to be the only way to get round to watch the twisty rally stage section as well.

As far as I know the rally stage area is still going to be closed off.

Bah, thats rubbish, theyre not allowing people to drive round to the South Bank area and park there. Lot of walking for the public then!

I'm definately going to give this one a miss, got Sunseeker and Wyedean in the next month already and those events make this look proper mickey-mouse....

Yup, my thoughts entirely! I feel like I should be going as its only down the road, but I begrudge paying money to see far less then we did last year!
