Sti long block fitment
chaps
Was just pondering the idea of dropping an sti engine into my wrx 02 . Now I know if I just use all my auxiliaries /ecu pinks and vf35 etc etc it's a straight swap. Bar the use of the avcs control. Now my question will this make it more laggy or as laggy as a non avcs set up? Or is there a loom adapter to use to make them work ? I heard by using the tgv wiring or something? I've done searches but not seen define answers . Reason I thought of it was stronger lump for more track work than the stock lump which is all healthy , I can run the 5speed box /clutch set up till I go 6 speed if I do decide that route . |

well i would guess it depends on the mapper? i did the sti transplant after my 205 blew up and and had a couple of teething issues but i had it mapped again yesterday and it's far from laggy lol, made 380bhp on mine yesterday at surrey rolling road with duncan mapping it, i'm running vf34, sti pinks, fmic, cone filter and mafless, it is REALLY different from before my engine blew, and in a good way. im not currently using avcs and from what i have been told it helps with torque but not massively

I spent all night reading this up. So your cams will be in full advanced mode.
What rpm are you reaching full boost? Did you use just a Sti long block everything else is wrx? |
