If you go with a thermostatic one then it will be fine, and the extra oil capacity is always a bonus.

My 2.5 with a cooler got up to temp only about 2-3 mins slower than without but it never got above 90 on the road and peaked at 110 on track. Without a cooler 100+ on road was common. Make sure you get a thermostatic sandwich plate though as you don't want the cooler to be 'in use' if the oil isn't getting up to temp.

Nice badge! which defuser did you go for? Are you flat flooring the car?, feeding it with something?

The finned diffuser - like robs one

No not flat flooring and yes feeding it on momentum 99

No mate - it's purely as I think the car needs some depth on the rear end... all show no go!

Trying to cut my way thru the mine field of wheels at moment. Looked at prodrive anthracites but only 7.5" and 48 offset.

I would go turinis again but they cost around £300 more than prodrive ones.

Also considering k-sport 8 pots later in year so wanna make sure they fit under anything I buy etc

You can fit 8.5 under there while keeping standard offset (allows for larger tyres), you can go 9" wide with 40+ offset i believe (coilover and alignment dependant)

I'd forgo the larger diffuser if I where you although they look great you're effectively fitting a parachute (no offence to other big diffuser folk out there X)

Don't think fitting a parachute makes much difference at the speeds I drive at Dave

I will ignore you this time Dave, it is in place to regularly test the integrity of my rear bumper, it also hides some of the crusty bits underneath...!

Does anyone need an excuse to add power?!?!?

Plus it just means I can get to 30mph quicker than I can now ha ha ha ha

I'll need the extra power after fitting the parachute

Just ordered some 2017 AlpineStars Tech 1 Race Gloves to help with the slippy Momo steering wheel, and some comfy Sparco Slalom RB-3 Race boots to help with the metal pedals in the STi...

Won't make me drive any quicker but will hopefully give me a bit more confidence especially on the steering wheel

No mate it's purely a case of budgeting different things in different accounts.

I had big projects to sort on the house, and they drained Germany funds.

My car parts fund was healthy but I was in two minds of letting the car go to someone who's needs were more than my own. However for now that isn't the case and so I decided I should use it this year and so the car funds have been used.

Although not going to Germany - U.K. Based track days with the club and uk tour and 99% of meets (no matter how long it takes to get to!) will be attended.

The club and friends I have made over the years are what gives me pleasure and those closest to me know that I will always put friends first.

More boxes due tomorrow and tues next week

Perfect fit Dave

Used measurements from manufacturer and the size ordered is spot on. Was surprised how well actually considering I have very wide distorted hands across my knuckles...(too many years breaking them against "things")

But got to say they are very comfy - tight, and secure...
