Yes, important thing to remember to be sure you have every single piece of documentation with you, the Germans especially like this: licence, green card insurance (signed), control certificate (MOT, if applicable), grey card (log book), road tax (like the UK, doesn't have to be displayed).

Over here these, except your licence, have to be with the vehicle at all times and copies don't count (as I friend of mine found out when he showed them copy of his old paper UK licence he kept in the car, before we had cards, and got a nice fine). Basically the vehicle has to be totally legal when driven by anyone which is why our insurance is based on the car not the person.

Oh, i need to get a move on as usual. No headlights working on Clio and needs some serious prepping for track use.

Just googled this and it looks like a Dutch version of the Rico Rally etc, but with 100 cars. 19th-21st May but their website says they will be at the Ring on Sunday. Most likely in the afternoon as it sounds like they'll be a few hangovers in the morning...

Quote:
The Fourth edition of The RevRun will take place 19, 20 and the 21th of May. The start will be on Friday at the hotel just over the Dutch borders towards the German Sauerland. All participants will gather here Friday afternoon, Friday we will kick off with a dinner and some drinks. Saturday we will head out towards some of the most exciting roads the German Sauerland has to offer. We will have a lunch stop on a unique location somewhere in the German mountains and then head back towards the hotel.

Saturday night we will have a party in a big club with a lot of fun and drinks. Sunday we will have a relaxed morning and later on we will head out towards the mighty Nordschleife where we will finish the fourth edition of The RevRun.
There will be plenty of time left for all participants to have some laps on the Nürburgring if they would like, before everyone heads home.

Neil to answer your point, the fact that there will be 100 modded cars means that there will be more to look at.
Consider this there can be more than a 1000 vehicles on the nordschleife at any one time.
100 cars will not have a impact as to how busy it is..

Hope this helps.

Unless some of them are a bit dozy after a night on the beers and cause a closure

But yeah, it'll be busy whether these guys turn up or not. It'll certainly be noticeable if they all descend on the car parks at once though.

I saw on YouTube a video where there was sleet then a bit later brilliant sunshine over the Easter weekend,
Caused a fair few crashes as well so I believe. Appeared to be mostly M3's going off the track.

That's one of the beauties about the Ring, can be sunny up at the entrance and hacking it down on the other side. Makes it interesting, especially when all the really quick RWD expensive stuff starts slowing down in the rain and you can re-overtake them with AWD

I think on one of my laps last year we had sun at the start, rain in the middle, and sun towards the end... then on the drive back to Jackie's it was sun when we left, rain as we went up into the town, and then sun as we came back down..

Its quite surreal how quickly it changes...

Not to mention the epic thunderstorms we watched from the cliff edge overlooking the river...

I follow LastHumansGarage on YouTube and he gained 65/70 dents from a recent heavy hail storm over in the US. Not a pretty sight and I'm rather glad mine stays under cover for most of the time - we also get quite bad storms like that once/twice every few years.

That was pretty cool, its a nice little drive out that way to the Mosel. I plan on heading over there again this year but want to find the spot on the other side of the valley, I've got a large canvas print of the view on my lounge wall and would be nice to see it in real life if you know what i mean

That hailstorm in Koblenz was crazy. Still find it funny that you got in your car and then realised the mrs wasn't with you
At least we made it down in the cable car before they stopped running it due to the lightning!
