This is really ****ty and a shame as it looked a cracking project... feel for you. If you do go for a refund make sure you get back all the parts you fitted if you can, you must have spent a small fortune already!

Hope you get a good outcome.

Gutted for you to go through all of this.. Could you not take it a specialist to get it diagnosed and rectified properly and get them to foot the bill?

or ask for a partial refund due to the fault and be done with them. as its such a nice tidy example seems a shame, money spent with a specialist to rectify would be well spent as its only going to go North in value,

I know a guy who has an ex prodrive gearbox builder working for him 1 day a week

Hope it all gets sorted and you somehow manage to keep her.

I've know that guy too, he came to buy a bonnet off me, and just happened to have a full wrc gearbox in his van! I think I've got his card somewhere.

That's a shame Benji, especially with all the parts you had sourced and the direction you was going with it.....

Guess your on the look out for another now?

Hopefully you'll find something even better.

Probably doesn't feel like it today, but it could end up being a blessing in disguise. Don't forget, there was something amiss with the car you had.

Do you know what model Legacy as no UK cars had Brembos from the factory. Even the JDM twins rolls were a bit paultry in the brakes department.

I am considering putting my current black jdm blob sti up for sale, 60k miles running 436bhp with a sc46 and ap front brakes, need to sort out the time to compose a decent advert at some point. Enjoy it every time i use it but it is far from happy with the 1 mile comute to work so it now spends to much of its time sitting in the garage!!

That's one thing il never know!!! Never saw the car , when I just arrived 6 weeks later and said right what's going on . My car wasn't there!!!! Said to be with a speaclist yet wouldn't give me the nane or location and I said so last thing you changed was driveshafts?? I got a reply yes they didn't cure it. I said what the shafts sitting under that wing!!!!!!! They just fobbed me off wasn't mine yet the pile of bits of mine was sitting there next to the wing and no car present???????
Wouldn't let me take parts as no old ones to put back on nor a refund for them I just walked away with my £7995 and that took days after this issue I was ringing police to report it stolen then bang money was in account before I had chance , I just took it bent over and walked away , I'm meant to be getting my system back but I doubt that ....

all i want is my exhaust back as that cost me £380 then i can put the whole thing down,

All il say is, if you see a car there and its a stunner they will sell you it and do fair few things to please the sale, all well and good, car was spot on, but then you need to walk away ignore their warranty as its crap never let them have it back my mistake, Pressured with having a little one and sorting a house all at the same time , i really didnt have the time so they had it back to resolve why our carried out family life, painting/moving then christmas all in one, in the mean time my car was being trashed, thrashed, crashed, you name it,
and was feed aload of crap.
take this one, i was told the whole drive train was being swapped from a 1997 sti v limited in blue, when i arrive my suppose bits where laying on the floor of my car and mine had the blue ones drive train, Yet the Blue was just on a test drive so if my drive train was on the floor how was this one being driven??????
