It's a shame Steve can't come

Matey, I would love to but just got to much going on expense wise now. Just had to do EGR Valve and altenator on my Mrs's Zaf (note to anyone thinking of buying a Zafira diesel - DONT!!!, possibly the most unreliable car in history!), and what with my holiday coming up, new brake pads and coilovers, fundage is fast becoming an issue!!.

Maybe next time though

And a quick SORRY to Tim. Hate saying i'll do something and then dont, but Clive seemed happy to 'slip in' ooohh errrr.

No problems Mike...i kind of hope the list doesn't change any more though!

I am sure there will be another one arranged at some stage in the future if you don't get to come on this one.

I tell you what boys, we are going to have to get up early to get there for 9.00!!

I have had several jobs that way recently and to get past that damn tunnel means early bird!

Took me three hours the other day to get to J30.......total bummer!

Directions
North Weald Airfield is off Junction 7 on the M11. Follow the signs for North Weald Market and this will take you straight to the airfield. There will be only 1 gate open on the day, next to the Air Traffic Control Tower. The person on the gate will direct you to where you will need to be.

You are correct mate, although its not far to the M11,it can honetsly take 2 hours easy.
Its a nightmare,if we leave at 6am we will all be there by 07.30 easy, yet if we leave at 7am its likely to make us late
I reckon leave early and get a coffe or something near J7 M11

Oh and Jay your car looked as fantastic as always yesterday

I paid for the day today as per below to show I'm not fleecing you all!

It shows a one person booking but don't worry as that was how I was able to book for a group!

Tim,

Thank you for your payment. You are booked in for 15 Sep 2010 on a 1 Person Day
using your own car.

DIRECTIONS
North Weald Airfield is off Junction 7 on the M11. Follow the signs for North
Weald Market and this will take you straight to the airfield. There will be only
1 gate open on the day, next to the Air Traffic Control Tower. The person on the
gate will direct you to where you will need to be.

You will need to bring your driving licence with you on the day. There are food
facilities located on the airfield. The day will begin at 9.00am and finish at
approximately 4.00pm. Spectators are allowed onto the airfield but there are no
facilities for them to sit and watch.

Please note that as your vehicle will be cornering at speed, you may need to
inflate your tyres more than you would normally. Vehicles such as the Lotus
Elise, Caterham etc are usually ok as they are lightweight and designed for high
speed cornering, but cars such as Subaru Imprezas, Porsches, Madzas, TVRs etc
are recommended to inflate their tyres to the maximum stated on the tyre itself
to protect the side wall of the tyre. There is a garage just off the M11
roundabout (on the A414 towards Harlow) where you can do this before the event.
We usually have a tyre pressure gauge so that you can decrease the tyres before
your journey home!

ITINERARY

09.00am
Meet on the airfield. Once most people have arrived there will be a briefing by
the instructor.

9.30am - 4.00pm
A large group day with the following activities;
High speed bend.
Small circuit.
Medium Circuit
Sprint Circuit included weather/time permitting

Lunch will be at the restaurant, at around 12:00pm.

If you need anymore information please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing
sales@carlimits.com or by phoning 01279 874 797.

Sales Department
www.carlimits.com
Tel: 01279 874 797

as has been said already....an early start for us all....maybe brekkie after going through the dartford tunnel/meeting place.

it should be good!

Anger if you are reading this...have you got my pm's?

There is a late space available as Poor Worzel's back is fubar. So if anyone not on the list is interested then Contact me via pm.

Otherwise,

Meet at Lakeside services by 7.30 am, next weds (get the tunnel out of the way early!) then onto North Weald airfield for 9am.
Remember to bring appropriate clothing for waiting on a windy airfield when not on the driving bit.
Lunch either self provide or there hopefully will be a burger wagon on the site somewhere or maccy d's within a mile or so of us.

Just stumbled across this by chance.

If there is still a space open give me a call on my mobile ********* in the morning first thing. Only about 40 miles away but you'll need to let me know as early as you can.

so guys, what time do you think we should all meet at Lakeside services? Google maps is saying its a half hour drive from there to the airfield, but with rush hour traffic it might take up to an hour.

Breakfast at Lakeside or somewhere near the airfield?

One note - it says in the info above that "Lunch will be at the restaurant, at around 12:00pm" ??

They never mentioned a restaurant when I spoke to them....either way food is within a mile at most even if it is from the golden arches of maccy d's!
Lets hope the weather holds!

OK, i'm going to aim to get to Lakeside services at 7:15am to give me a chance to grab some breakfast there before heading up to the airfield.

If it rains it might make it more fun
