You're telling me, its just taken me an hour to go through the list and double check the number of tickets/passes against the money we've received via paypal and make sure its 100% correct

Final numbers are 58 tickets, with 34 car passes. 34 scoobs on the SES stand will look awesome

Right, time for meeting point details!

Firstly, we will not be using the same meeting point as we have for the last few years!

Please make sure you are at the new location - Wested Lane, which is just off Junction 3 of the M25 (opposite side to Brands Hatch) - postcode is BR8 8EE.

We will queue up on one side of the road, two cars wide (as shown by the red lines on the map above). I will be handing out tickets/car passes to people as they arrive. If i've got distracted by someone and you don't have your tickets within a few minutes of arriving, come and make yourself known! (For the newbies, ask someone to point you in my direction ) From there, we will go back under the M25 and convoy up to Brands Hatch.

Meet at Wested Lane - 7:30am
Leave for Brands Hatch - 7:45am, to arrive approx 8am

We will be using the Paddock entrance at Brands, rather than the main entrance.

Please be on time. If anyone has not arrived at the meeting point by 7:45am, then we may leave without you (we can't delay the whole group). If this happens, I will try and leave your tickets with the gate staff at Paddock entrance, but this cannot be guaranteed. If this is going to be a problem for anyone, then please PM me in advance.

Finally - a few words about behaviour. There are some new members and names on the list that aren't SES regulars so its worth us perhaps stating the obvious. We want you to all have a great day out but remember you are part of this club and representing SES by being on our club stand. Any bad driving or behaviour reflects negatively on us and may prevent us from being allowed to attend future events. No donuts on the grass at Brands, no speeding/racing in the convoy. Anyone found acting stupidly or dangerously may be denied access to the event and may have their access to the forum removed. All common sense stuff for 99% of folks, but we don't want the 1% ruining it.

Thanks

Does anyone have any other info about the day? Is it advisable to take a packed lunch for example?

I've found a timetable for Oulton Park here http://www.modifiedlive.co.uk/page.php?a=5&s=91&p=75 and presume Brands will be similar.

Cheers

Yep, plenty of food available at Brands, although some of the burger places are a bit crap. A lot of folks turn up and once parked up on the stand wander down to the Kentagon for a full english.

Quite a few people also take nibbles and stuff to snack on as well though.

Meeting point,
Just a word of caution, that turning can be a bit of a pig to get out of when its busy, hopefully at that time of the morning it should be ok but not all the cars will make the traffic lights as they change pretty quickly

Thanks for the info The 7:30 start was difficult enough to explain to the missus, so I didn't want to suggest a packed lunch as well

Yes, we'll all get a bit split up at the lights, but its an easy run from there to Brands and we'll all end up in the same queue to get into the Paddock entrance!

Would have thought traffic will be pretty light at that time on a Sunday morning though.

I did a quick drive by of Wested Lane last night. The section marked in red is not that long and is near to a haulier. There was an articulated lorry parked on the road as in the other picture in Steve's post. Mark Way would make a good 'spill over' for us to use as it's longer, wider and has plenty of turning space. It is also a cul de sac. (on the map in blue).

Hope this is of some help

Thanks mate. I've only looked at Wested Lane on Google street view but it looks fine, but good to know there's an overflow option though.

Worst case scenario - once a group of about 15 have gathered and got their tickets, they can head off to Brands. I'll hang back to hand out tickets for the second group and we'll all join up at the circuit. But I'm sure we'll all fit in there, just park bumper to bumper in a line

We were there at 14:15, the rallying looked good? I was a passenger as Liz drove round, lost some skin on my knuckles trying to hang on

I'll have to confirm, there may be one left but i've had a few PMs asking the same already and I need to check whats left. It'll be tomorrow now before I know for sure.

I thought with 34 cars on the list, everyone who wanted to come would have already signed up!

Just given the Surrey members a poke to remind them to check out the meet details. Was also reading this last night:

http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/09/...imate-impreza/

I really, really, REALLY, hope that the GS2 takes to the track at the weekend.

See you Sunday!

Just received the stand location details - we're right up by the main entrance like we were about 4 years ago. Its a bit of a walk from the Kentagon but its a good large fairly flat spot, and it the perfect place to watch all of the drifting action round Clearways.

Despite being at this end of the venue, we still have to enter via the Paddock entrance at Scratchers Lane. There is no access from the Main Entrance other than to the public car parks.

For anyone buying their tickets on the gate, they are £15 each, CASH ONLY!

Some extra info they've sent me:

* Track Time: Take your own car on the track for just £25 - All you need to do is sign up for this at the Race Control building reception behind the pit lane on the day.

* Tickets on the gate are £15 CASH is you’re entering via car club entrance. Children 12 and under are Free.

* You can enjoy a sideways ride in a Drift Taxi for just £10, available to book from Hailwoods restaurant on the day.

Not sure what the deal is with track time and whether it'll actually happen - it hasn't in previous years.....

Bearing in mind the location of our stand I think the main entrance will be better to get in..

The organisers have told us that the main entrance is closed to all car clubs. It'll be setup for traffic heading into the public car parks.

No info on track time. However, as you're not on our list you'll have to go in as a member of the public now (all spare car passes have been taken too!). I think gates open at 9:30am.

I'm 99% sure you won't be able to go on track, the track time (if it happens) will be reserved for car club attendees only and I expect there to be limited places as the track is in use most of the day with Time Attack, Drifting etc.

Its not a bad spot, its good for watching the track action from the grass bank opposite. Certainly better than being right up the back like we have in previous years.

I think we should do, maybe by model or by colour. What do others think?
