Cheers Ron . Not that I'd sell it atm unless a low mileage hatch came along in my bracket and I'd want a lot for this car as I know it will be super hard to replace for same car

Either run it on an import sized plate or put an oversized UK plate on.....

Thats what I done, wanted to keep the original hangers on the back and didn't like the exposed look of them, so used them....

Is that the same as the driveshaft float that can be adjusted where the shaft enters the diff.

Can't anyone run a courteous and professional business these days?

Fair enough if they haven't been able to fix the problem, but using a customers car (which is clearly mint) as a daily runner for their staff is just bang out of order.

Totally agree - that's extremely bad. Whilst I appreciate they have to test drive it to see if the fault is cleared - using it everyday as a daily runner is just bang out of order?

Can you not demand another company fault finds, and then the charge goes back to the original company?

Hope you get this sorted as it was such a mint looking project.

****ing hell.

I was thinking about this after our pm exchange and I'd assumed no news was good news. Clearly wishful thinking.

I've had to return a used car with a fault, so if you need any pointers, let me know. I got quite familiar with the application of the Sale of Goods Act!

Might be worth speaking to your local trading standards office. I had a problem with a dodgy purchase once and they sorted everything pretty quickly.

Go get it and take it somewhere worthy, it looks such a sound car ( other than the fault) and you've spent so much on it already.....

Thats out of order i would go down and take the car without paying the bill considering what they have done with it and used it as a daily run about for them it doesnt take that long to fix a simple problem and are we talking about SVA Imports ?

Not checked up on this thread for a few weeks, gutted to see that things aren't going well for you (or the car by the sounds of it).

Hope you can get things sorted.

You're not being unfair at all mate.

You paid for something that you haven't got. Wanting rectification or a refund is perfectly reasonable behaviour in my book.

Good luck with it.

Can you not get them to put it back to how you purchased it (given that your fitted parts are still on there too) and let you take it to a specialist for inspection, report and or repair?

What exactly is the fault you are trying to sort out?
