Well geometry was a bit out - to say the least!!!! (Top before - bottom after!)

Wheels back on and car looking a lot lower

And neutral position switch went in also - wow what a difference! Got my top end power back and car feels amazing

Feel good - solid when giving it some but fairly relaxed and like standard when mooching around

Not picky mate - just you have a lot more ability than me ha ha ha - jules said I could have more toe in, but said it would be more possible to oversteer - and with my limited ability I didn't think that would be a good idea

(Yes he did chuckle and say - you only drive at 30mph - so what you worried about )

Something that maybe the mappers may help with (Scott maybe) - since the new neutral position switch has been fitted - im drinking petrol like its going out of fashion!

Before switch (and I guess having no AVCS (or whatever its called)) I used to get approx. 75miles from 1/4 tank - I had the switch fitted, and gained all my power back e.t.c. and without booting it (seriously I was just driving normally) - I only got 45miles from the 1/4 tank on the way home.

I filled up again and tested again yest driving to work and back etc and same result - 42 miles on 1/4 tank.

Do you think since having the switch now working and the AVCS (or whatever!) working - I may need my map tweaking?

At the time of the map - when Duncan said the switch wasn't working - he said no tweak would be needed - but just very odd how my consumption has nearly doubled..

Ryan

update- not the best one though! Took the car out last weekend for the first time in 6wks.

Drove 400mtrs down the road and was sat waiting to give way at parked car - got flashed through and as I started to go, the other car decided it didnt' wanna wait now, and so came through same time !

Evasive swerve = two ripped to shreds tyres (only done 200miles) + 1 totally fecked alloy (ripped the rim off all the way round).

Got two new tyres (£230 including new tracking set up) but need to get wheel sorted as its shocking... Looks really bad...

Lepsons want £105 to refurb the one rim...

joy of joys...

It actually shredded the whole length of tyre protector off the tyres like spaghetti and they had trouble sealing the tyre coz the rim has lost its lip

Oh what a pain in the backside mate. Lepsons will be able to sort that easily enough, just doesn't make it any less painful on the wallet!

Sod's law - and I got in touch with speedline - they only have the graphics for "speedline corse" not the flow forming as it's printed in Italy when the wheels are made - although I could buy a new wheel - £252+del....

Might pop over to lepsons tomorrow - a mobile repairer would be more convenient as not whole wheel needs respraying so no need for acid dip really...

Will investigate tomorrow...

small update - got prices for wheel refurb in new year - and also prices from Alyn for ID 1000cc Injectors. Still undecided on Turbo - MD321T vs Precision Turbo.

Both good for 450bhp - which "should" be enough considering I drive at a whopping 30-40mph most of the time

Prob order the injectors first, then turbo in Feb which gives me time to decide which one would best suit my budget and the car.

Then get map tweaked..

Id1000's are overkill for 450 unless your planning to go for more later on?

Hi Dave,

As much as I would like to say I was planning more - I doubt it...

The costs start really jumping up with having to change internals and engine parts e.t.c. so not really my plan.

What would you recommend? 800cc?

Kind Regards

Ryan

740's be far enough .sc46???? I remember when mine was mapped by Simon, at 340/340 it was brilliant so a 450 would be crazy lol

I know to keep it cheaper magic 400 is a cheaper goal on a bug.
Jgm adviced me
Injectors ,
Sc40
Along with me prodrive pump, panel filter and full 3in decatted system,
As the stock airbox and top mount are fine at this level so does make it cheaper if that helps but if 450 is the goal awesome! One fast bug!!!

Some de-capped wrx blues will do the job they flow circa 800cc/840cc though sold by some as 660's + get them flow matched and cleaned (or get ones that are already) will save you a fair few ££.

Id go for The MD321H or T if it was me depending on target power, Although the Blouch turbos Scoobyclinic sell are rated by some.

It might also be worth looking into turbotechnics T36 though it seems its a bit of a work in progress with enginetuner at the mo, seems to spool well and make good power, and sells for quite a bit less too

de-capped injectors will never have the refinement of the likes of ID1000's IMO which will work perfectly at idle and low throttle openings

if you want something smaller then you could look at the DW range

Never had an issue with decapped Wrx injectors other than its limited me to just over 600hp

Well service all went fine -suspension re-tightened up and aligned, and that should last for a few weeks - hopefully!

Everything changed and ready to go

He's a great guy, met him a few times when he has been with Dave and is very very helpful. Should be coming to meet on Sunday.
