I'll be going via M23/M25 so could meet anyone over this way for a convoy from Pease Pottage? There's a good group from Eastbourne/Hastings direction too....

It might also make it easier to regroup at the services at J8, M20 (only 2 minutes up the road). We could then hand out passes etc and all head over to Leeds Castle together?

Sorry, but only those on the list below are eligible for attendance on the SES club stand, and at the much reduced gate price.
The deadlines for arranging this were all in the above posts, aswell as the organisers setting a deadline of the 28th April.

Due to venue requirements, and the attendance of the armed forces all show entries needed to pass security details on to the organisers. If you have not met the deadlines or passed on your details, then your only method of entry is via the public entrance and the full entry price.

Still trying to get final details from the organisers and whether I should be expecting tickets for everyone on the doormat.
It's proving a little difficult to get a response at the moment......................please 'bear' with me......

O.K.....tickets are being sent to me tomorrow, so should be with me Tuesday/Wednesday.
We should meet at J8 Services at 0830 for a 0840 (latest) departure, where the tickets will get dished out.
Hopefully the traffic in the lane to Leeds Castle won't be too bad coming from the south as I need to drive past in order to get to J8.
If it goes belly up, I may have to call you in from there and dish the tickets out when you get to the drive/approach to the castle.

I will give Steve_PPP a bell, if I need to call you in..........

Just checking am I right in thinking that you can have one or two passengers in your car (I am on the list) that do not need to pay to gain entry?

I'll be bringing the SES gazebo with the sides as well just in case it tips it down, can put the sides on it and give us somewhere to shelter if we need it!

Hope the forecast changes though....

toying with the idea of a throw away bbq as a food option (to cook on before the funny comments). I assume we are in a field nearby and they won't be banned?

Hi all,
We too have been refreshing the Metcheck window every 5 mins, bloody thing said 17 degrees and sunny all day last week, to 100% rain heavy showers 2 days ago to now showing as sunny in the morning and shower bursts in the afternoon! I gave up checking as it was causing chest pains

I am afraid due to the venue we are not allowed Gazebo's, club banners are allowed but no flag style ones.

It's a brave man who brings a BBQ, the tweed brigade will be on you in seconds

Jason is all sorted and his pass will be waiting for him on the gate.

Ross

Hi Ross, thats a bit of a shame for the car clubs who want to bring a bit of branding to the event - we've got a logo'd gazebo and sail banners but no normal banners to use.

A case of health & safety mad Britain again i guess? nothing allowed that the wind can catch? Let just hope the sun is shining or there is alternative shelter should the rain come!

That is a shame as all the car clubs mini gazeebo's and flags really make the event look professional and enticing for people that may just be visiting the venue to see a castle, and happend to stumble onto a much larger event.

Without such things there is a danger it will just look like a car park and won't attract the interest (or charitable donations) that it deserves.
