Sorry guys but I’ve got to work that weekend as the course has now been filled - only had one person on Friday but now full so it’s going ahead!

Well you know this one wasn't free.........and £15 is alot to pay out for a whole days entertainment for two.
Some would prefer to pay more than double that to watch 22 premadonna's for 90 minutes.

No problem with the price, just have other plans for the weekend, was a good day last year and £15 is a bargain for a day out (cost me more than that for three lots of cod and chips the other night).

Really looking forward to seeing the racing, but dreading to see what they have done to the spectator areas on the GP circuit.

It looks pretty imposing from what I've heard so far. Not all areas have new catch fencing apparently, but all 'risk' areas have - and some areas are now completely off limits to spectators

I'm sure we'll find out this weekend!

Yeah, I saw a few pictures posted of sections of the GP circuit on Facebook which, unsurprisingly, were getting a lot of complaints. There were a couple of comments suggesting that there will be viewing windows cut into areas of the fence but, no idea as to how numerous they will be.

As you say we will see on Sunday!

Meet time pulled back to 0730 for a 0745 depart.
They want us there for 0800 so that we don't clash with a large group coming from Cobham.

We've just had another email from Brands re: spectator access, but in case you haven't see it...

Quote:
Viewing on the Grand Prix loop
Visitors this weekend will notice some changes to the Grand Prix loop section of the circuit, with new pathways and additional debris fencing in several areas. These changes have been made as part of an ongoing programme of spectator safety improvements.

You will still be able to walk around the perimeter of the Grand Prix circuit, but please note a small trackside section between Sheene Curve and Stirlings Bend will no longer be a spectator area.
I'm guessing the area between Sheene and Stirlings is this bit...

New spectator map now up:

MSV.com - Brands Hatch Spectator Map

Access looks largely unchanged with the exception of the area outside the turn into Stirlings: just those high fences to worry about now!

Good spot! I was so focused on the furthest parts of the GP circuit I hadn't noticed that.

We’ve got our large camping table in the car with our chairs, anything else worth bringing - we’ve got the room!

Great day again thanks Scott! Had to shoot as the kids were wiped - both slept all the way home!
See you in Germany!

Thanks for coming everyone, and to Scott for organising with MSV/Supercar Siege.

Superb day's racing, although I must admit i'm slightly roasted! Great to see you all though

Echo what Steve said, many thanks. Billy no mates on the parade laps We were sandwiched between a white vxr Corsa and a very nice white GT Bentley, track was really dirty and full of marshalls on the first lap but did manage to find the fast peddle a couple of times

A bittersweet day at Brands Hatch today: great weather and close racing overshadowed by the spectator experience being completely ruined on the GP circuit.

That aside, I thought you had a great spot for the stand again. Was keeping my eyes peeled for any familiar faces during the day but didn't see any of you!
