Adrian, it will work this way!

If you came in previous years, as you have, you will priority on Jackies hotel, I will make sure of that, we will then get the newbies in at an alternative accommodation as close as possible to us!

Can you please get your name down, it would make things so much easier!

Also, what do you mean you were removed From the list, if someone is deleting your posts we need to know about it, there is no reason this should be happening.

Adrian, what about the triple room with James and his +1?

Unless its a bit of lady garden that he has in tow of course

I will make sure you are nowhere near snoring Norman too

I've updated the list and fitted Adam/Tom in at number 15 as they are effectively taking the place vacated by Ron.

Anyone else wanting to come needs to add themselves to the reserve list (although as Worzel has mentioned we may get extra rooms available - tbc).

6: Nick & Sian Elliman - Comfort Double (only Friday & Sat nights)

8: James Nash & will find someone next year - what ever room I get
9: Joel & Jess Theobald - Standard double (comfort if one becomes available)
10: Nige + 1 - twin room.
11: Daz & Lucia / twin / double
12: Scott Taylor +1 (TBC)

Apologies as I'm on my phone and cannot seem to be able to update the list. Please put me down for a double. I have a slight problem with work due to the dates, but hopefully this will be sorted next week!

It will all work out in the end chaps. From the sound of things though, we should get Nige up in the alternative accommodation for everyone's peace and quiet!

As you may well be aware, we have had to change the dates for this, due to GmbH and their messing about and changing dates for events, including the Nurburgring 24hr and then the Rock AM Ring being on the dates we had originally pencilled in.

The dates we are going for now are Friday 25th May 2012 - Tuesday 29th May 2012. This also gives us 3 solid days of opening time on the Green Hell, this however is due to the fact that there is a German bank holiday that weekend (This is the festival where we see the decorated tree's about 80ft up on a pole each year), so expect it to be busy out there on Saturday and Sunday for sure.
Steve, I'm not sure whether you lot are aware that the Monday is a bank holiday as well. It's Whitsun Sunday and Whitsun Monday. So I'm sure the Monday will be busy, too. Just thought I tell you this. Still hope you guys will get a lot of great laps.

IIRC.

It was a bank holiday on the 1st year we went to the Ring.

We had better book the steak house now then.

To be honest, Martyn, it looks as if nobody really knows what it's all about. It is a German custom. They are so called May-trees or Whitsun-trees. In some regions they are put up the night before the 1st of May and in others at Whitsun. Most people think they are put up in the hope for a good crop (or harvest - don't know the appropriate word in English) in the following months. Sorry I can't tell you more about it. I searched the internet but didn't get more satisfying answers either.

It is nice to go out at least one night on our trip though.

IIRC you got some serious loving on the 1st time you went to Sliders,

and found the love of your life in the form of ye old travel puss.

Definately need to go out one night at least, the food in the hotel is good but its nice to get some variety.

I thought the Argentinian fillet on the hot stone jobbie we had at the steak house was top notch personally, and quite fancy going there again.

I enjoyed it as well, not the best steak but definitely not the worse, was also entertaining watching Big E trying to explain to the waitress he didn't want cucumber lol

Agreed too, I thought the grub there was pretty good to be honest, but we could give somewhere else a try!

We can do some searches and go with the popular choice

No on the 2nd year we did go down to Cochem, as I remember the waiting staff didn't speak our lingo.

It would nice to eat in one of the riverside hostelries, but I would imagine it might be pricey though.

That's it Cochem. Stunning place .
Love it, 5 months yet and we are discussing where to eat out .

My plans go something like this.
Feb- exhaust fitting and Map
March - pay for acomodation
April- pay for breakdown and track insurance
May- final prep, octane booster, oil etc

We went to the restaurant in Adenauer first year, where we met the guy who was a member on here (mark) that was quite nice, not too expensive either, then all the lads went on the piss to sliders and the like!

Don't quote me on it though mate, just what I think Mr Gummidge was planning.

How is it that every year I always have stuff to get sorted on the scoob.
This year diferent scoob and needs clutch, plus having exhaust and remap.

One year I do hope I can just wash and go
