That's a shame Rob.

Anyone else interested? Granby - saw your post earlier in the thread, there's a space if you want it, unless you're already going with other Holdens etc?

The meeting point is the Rose & Crown Pub, Farnborough Way, Orpington BR6 6BT. Google maps link...

I suggest we aim to meet at the pub from 7:30am, to depart at 7:45am. It's only 4 or 5 miles up the road to the venue but a couple of years ago there were long queues to get in. But that should give us plenty of time.

I'll bring the gazebo as usual

I will be getting on M25 Junction 9 @ 0700 or just before to get to the pub for 0730 - Pottage not really on my route, would pass Clackets so could hold up there.

Yeah sounds good. Less chance of me getting lost if I'm with/following someone

I need to check the gate entry point on the tickets.
It makes reference to a specific gate but no map was provided. Tickets are on my desk at work so will report back tomorrow

Can you please confirm the meeting time as the show itself doesn't open to 10 am do we need to be there 2 hours prior to that?

SES is part of the show so we need to get in before its open to the public.

Ticket states use Hays Lane entrance and event location details are :
Hayes Ln, Bromley BR2 9EF

So I can only assume we head there.

I have just read some of the reviews from last year and it appears that any time after 830 am traffic around the venue becomes awful so I can see the reasons why we need to be there early.

Will clean the car Saturday night and see you sunday morning

TICKET UPDATE

Big E has all the tickets. Each ticket allows car + 2 adults into the event.
There is also a mirror hanger labelled H3 which I assume is our parking zone.
The tickets will be scanned on entry so please have these ready.

NOTE : Each mirror hanger has a vehicle registration number. Please try and match these up to your vehicle but don't get to hung up (pardon the pun) on it. I could not provide actual numbers as we didn't know at point of order.
If they ask just explain that club admin ordered for everyone.
As you should all be entering together I don't see this as much of an issue.

I aim to be there at 0945 as we have to capture some Rico Rally departure coverage at 0800 in Ashford, so save me a spot

Ty for a great day out, especially with Scott's organising and amazing water spray, that was soooooo needed. Just had icecream and a cold shower, may need another shower. Blimey we all got hot lol. Oh so much fun tipping water down Ian's back and then Steve's head

P.s I've put Steves watering himself moment on SES facebook page. He thought I was taking a photo !, edit hmmm maybe I cannot, facebook will not allow

Thanks to all those that braved the heat. That's gotta be the hottest event for SES ever.
It was so hot the appetite for lemon drizzle even dried up.

What a great day. Loved seeing everyone again and meeting some new people who are a great addition to the club. Thank you to Scott for organising and thank you to those who came and made the day what it was.

That was certainly a scorcher. The water spray thing was great relief!

Good event though and glad they've sorted the traffic issues on the way in from previous years!!

Great to see everyone, ty Scott for organising. Much better organised for getting in and out this year with no big traffic queue. Thank god they didn't ask us to do a parade lap of the arena bit I think I would have died!

Saw your car about 3ish when I walked around the one make parking The heat meant it was already starting to thin out by that point though.

Well, that and the trade sellers running out of cold drinks and charging £2.50 for a warm water

As we wondered over to the SES stand, I couldn't see anyone holding the fort - you all must have been on a mooch about too I did wave on the way out though!

Great stand though! Along with YouScoob and Kent Imprezas, there was a heavy Subaru presence there, awesome stuff.

Yeah, definitely thinned out a bit too early, past years have been around the 4/5pm mark. I agree the heat probably had a lot to do with that.

There was a bit of a hold up on entry - could see some classics suffering in the distance, I turned up bang on 7am and it was already 20 degrees!
