Scott
The new FMIC did not turn up.
So as car has to go to gatwick tuesady we decided to strip the intercooler out and refit all hoses, double checking every hose and clamp. We did find a couple which were possibly susspect.
Its a changed car big time.
You guys will laugh when you see it on the road, its like a bloomin touring car.

I dont think to be fair to Gatwick its there fault.

But it is the fault of Subaru for having CRAP shocks, they seem to have some kind of inherent design fault as its not the 1st shock Ive had replaced.

Trouble is now the scoob has got to go back and be sorted.

I am so glad I took out the extended warranty its paid for its self

I did pop up to Vince's in the afternon with the prob, to wave it at you as a wind up.
But you had already finished.......
APS couldn't get hold of Bosch until Tuesday, luckily Vince suggested GFS who had one on the shelf.

Just to add to the list. Buy some of that tre stuff that fix's your puncture and blows your tyre up at the same time. It will save you a fortune, a tow off the ring is expensive.

Mark will Jochen of Frozenspeed be ther forthe pic's? There's aprox 30 car's from the 911 owners club turning up.You can ask them for pax laps. I might be really cheeky & get stuck in. Follow a few of them round as most of them seem to be very experienced

I can give you directions...

Doesn't surprised with the PK. When my mate spoke to the manager last night he said they were overbooked. As for other places to eat... your group is large so will be a problem at such short notice. I can recommend the Comfy Corner in Adenau. It's a small family bar/restaurant but the food is excellent. Jorg managed to serve all 18 of us Thursday night although we had pre-booked from set menu in advance.

Right guys.

Greig kindly gave me a ring leaflet on Saturday at the Treacle Mines meet.

I have scanned it and made a couple of j-pegs.

They are well worth a quick look through, especially the "danger spots" on the track.

Most of you may know this. Your insurance may only cover you 3rd party when abroad. Please check it's not much more money for fully comp.

Don't tempt fate with the weather. The Eifel has it's own microclimate, I've seen blazing sunshine and torential downpours on the same lap

I tend to use Accuweather http://www.accuweather.com/world-foreca ... G&metric=1

I only looked at new tyres out there and they were not cheap. For example R888s were €235 compared to £125 in the UK. I've got a spare set of RE070's over there but I'll be putting them on my car if it's dry otherwise I'll keep the Pilot Sports on if it's wet.

Petrol had risen again too, 100ron is €1.45.9 per litre

Any collision between cars on track will end badly for the non-local. The police / Nurburgring GmbH will side with the local and the Ring Taxi's are as 'local' as you can get. I always leave them alone and let then get on with entertaining their passengers. It's not that hard to keep up them as unoffically they aren't allowed to go too fast, they lap around 8:00 - 8:30mins depending on the sideways show they put on.

If you want to watch an impressive video this takes some beating: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 7458424752

It's Hans Joachim Stuck driving a M3 GTR in 2004 in the Nurburgring 24hr race. It was running a prototype 4L V8 (now seen in the current E92 M2), revving to 10,000rpm. He was racing an Audi R8 V10 in last weekends Nurburgring 24hr race.
