Default Suspension

What do people recommend on a new age Hawk? Also who to go to for suspension set ups?

this is what i have been wondering as my rear ast's need rebuilding....do i get them done or really go for it exe-tc's or kw3's etc

teins with edfc sounds quite good as well....touch of a button and good for track work

I'll be speaking to rcm when i go up end of Nov (hopefully)

The other option is Bilstein Coilovers, similar money to the others.

My Evo handled very well on Teins. I think they were £1200 had more than enough adjustment for what I needed. AST's are how much & how do they fair. I realise Teins are not the best but perform well for the money. Anyone running KW's ?

I've tried KW V3 and must admit best coilovers for money, but for this price I would go with Nitron Coilovers

We are running HSD HR which are harder than OE suspension, but handling with them great like on drag or track with right alignment setup

I've got BC's on my Hawk and so far so good. Ok, so you there are more expensive options that may well be better, but I've not found the BC's to be lacking at all.

I used http://www.steeralign.co.uk/ for the setup. Matt is mobile or you can go to him if you want. He was British hill climb champion a few years back now and seems to really know his stuff. He has setup a number of cars in my local motor club and everyone I have spoken to says the results are positive.

you'll struggle to get "road style" exe-Tc's at the mo and potentially none on-going.........

KW woul probably be my choice dependant on how deep your pockets are??

Is it best to get him to come to you or go there mate, and what did he charge you if you don't mind me asking

I ended up going to him, but that was just the choice I made. I don't really have anywhere nice and flat for the work to be done and I also wanted to have a poke around his sprint car (RX7 with a Chevvy 5.7 V8 lump in it)

Can't remember exact cost, was about £200. That did include a couple of mugs of tea and a natter with him and his dad about their single-seater hill climbing days though.
