Decent Local Tuners to Chichester
Hi, sorry if this has been covered already but I am looking to purchase a sports catted down pipe and decat up pipe for my wrx impreza wagon 2001 bug eye with PPP and once I have them need someone to fit them for me that is fairly local. I will then be looking to get a remap with Jolly Green Monster when the mechanical work is all done. Can anyone suggest somewhere fairly local to Chichester that would do the work well and not cost me an arm and a leg? If any one has an idea of how much it "should" cost me it would be handy when getting prices.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give. BK |

I'm only in Littlehampton, but I go to SMD Newhaven for most of my work.
There's a big gap around us, I have used http://www.performancetuningservices.co.uk/ for a couple of jobs, get the feeling they are very good but not Subaru experts.

You could always book it into a workshop local to surrey rolling road.. take the car there in the morning, parts fitted and it mapped in the afternoon

Only need to contact me and I can pass on number of where to get parts fitted.
I book SRR for whole days at a go so no need to book with them

For up-pipe I would speak to Harvey Smith and get one of his matched slip jointed ones - cant help with down pipe as I've never run a catted one, my sports cat is in the centre section.

I might look at that instead of sports cat in down pipe. Which one did you go for? |

I'm running a full Miltek 3' system (Litchfield Spec C version) as far as I know you can't swap bits between other systems and the Miltek without cutting and shutting!
Mine has passed emissions every MOT since fitting (about 5 years I think) only narrowly needed a retest once because it was done while the car was cold.

I read somewhere that as part of the PPP the cat in the mid pipe (after the down pipe cat) is removed or possibly replaced with a sports cat. Anyone know which? And if it is a sports cat in there, then is it good enough to pass MOT with all others removed (would be great if this is the case but haven't really found anywhere with a definitive answer!). If the car is a standard bugeye wrx with PPP, it will have the standard Subaru cats in the uppipe and downpipe (so no sports cats at all). |
