You don't want the Nur Spec then, they are properly loud

Quick search on youtube turned up this:

(remember the Prodrive box is still louder than the standard STI box).

edit/ just realised thats Ginola's car too

Milltek is properly made ands more importantly 'flowed' correctly...........

unfortunately the Blitz stuff is an (very) expensive drain-pipe in comparison

I'd recommend speaking to Alyn in the prior post for getting a Milltek. Great prices and fantastic service. I personally like the build quality over many other brands.

Can't fault my Milltek even on a 2.5 running 440 it passes Goodwood noise testing, mine is also the sports Cat version so passes MOTs as well!

Do you intend to leave the cat in place or are you going to remove that as well?

I have a Nur Spec R on my STi (plus I still have the cat in place) and its definately loud, but I don't think its stupid. A Nur Spec R on a cat-less car is noisy though!

By way of comparison my car had a Cobra Sport system on it when I bought it and I got rid of that because it used to drone really badly on the motorway (plus I thought it looked like a giant bean can!). I swapped that for a titanium STi muffler (which I think was around about the same volume as the Milltek) and that was much quieter: you could only really hear anything in the cabin above 4000 RPM...

...but I missed hearing the burble all the time, so I ended up with a Nur Spec R!

I spend ages debating what to get before choosing the Nur; I watched loads of videos on You Tube (including the one Steve PPP posted!), but it was going to meets and listening to cars that I found was the best judge.

Roughly how much is a full miltek system please? Mine is a GRD one and its straight off the block without any cats, bit too noisy when on boost, drones like mad. A bit noisy on start up too and because of my job I leave at 3am sometimes, must wake the street!

I'll probably be popping in for a couple of hours around 1030-1230 as I'm sailing in the afternoon.

I'm running a Litchfield Spec C version 3' Miltek with resonated down pipe and sports cat centre.
