2% off of corporation tax is not too bad though.

I have been bent over and raped by the tax man for this in the last couple of years

This one is interesting for those of us that work in the charity sector, could make a big difference in encouraging legacies

Looks like petrol wont be going up for a few days

Could have been a lot worse.

Some good news too regarding tax and other factors

Fuel will be now going up as instead of us paying the increase the chancellor has increased the tax paid by the oil companies, who will in turn pass it on.

Just wait and see.

1p of a litre of fuel is a saving of about 40p if u fill up your tank.
only lorry drivers will see a better saving

give it a month and it will start going up again.

Agreed, the Shell garages round here both went up 1p last night - so this 1p reduction won't do jack all.

not really fella, ive got 2 jobs and hardly see any extra money because the government wants their extra share too. Think the only true way to get abit extra is do cash in hand work.

Or like alot of people who seem to get away with it just go on benifits and let every other hardworking ****er pay for them instead. The government seems to favour people on benifits

You have 2 jobs coz you like to spend

All i ever seem to be doing is paying tax - work stuff, bank fees or paying to tax a car or van.

Would love to be able to spend a bit of money i earn on something for myself or Emma

From where I am sitting earning more money is a complete waste of time. Being self employed there is no incentive to make more money as you just get raped by the tax man and loose any child tax credits etc as you are in profit, therefore in the real world leaving you worse off.

10 years ago, there was loads of help & encouragement to go self employed.

Totally opposite now. Might have to look for a real job working for someone later this year
