Engine and gear box are out.front and rear subframs are out as well.
the rear subframe has come out so we can change the diffs over and polly bush the rear suspension change rear hubs+brakes.

the front subframe has been striped and is on its way to the U.S for them to make a subframe right hand drive. this is because they only made them lefthand drive kits so we shall be the 1st right hand drive kits off them..

The seats are out. making up brackets for the 2 new bucket seats its having.
also roll caged and exhausts turned up today.

will get some pics up very soon

That is one of the most absurd chassis/engine pairings I have seen.

Bonkers.

also we have 2 new bucket seats, harnessand polly bush set for the rear suspension ,custom hub flanges arrive the other day. so we should see some progress soon then we can get it off the ramp so mine can go on

yup i belive it is a popular thing out there, i think i am right in saying this will be the 1st RHD one as we have had the front subframe custom made by the comperny in the US.

sorry for the poor updates got loads of longterm projects on the go such as Austin A35 race car, suzuki vitara based steering/suspension custom made chassis made in house subaru diffs etc for an amphibious vehicles ! not to mention the justy or my scoob.

but anyway back to the mx5 the engine is curently striped we are doing a few mods cams/vavles/valvesprings. all suspension has been polly bushed and we have had the chassis checked with a mesuring systum to check that the car is straight witch it is. will try and get some photos up soon

quick pic of mesuring systum

Well, where do i start,

The V8 engine is now built an in the car, We have had to modify the firewall quite a bit to get the engine to fit, The engine is coming back out so that the engine bay can be welded up/painted all the suspension an supframes are now all bushed up an back on the car, we have welded the rear diff carrier in place,so now the rear end is pretty much done.

Today i made a start on the fueling systum, fitted a larger fuel pump in tank, an making up the braided lines.

the car has also been away an had a pucka roll cage welded in, will try an get some more pics up
