Default Feb 2011 - SES Meet, Sunday 13th February - Surrey

SES visits Surrey Scoobies!

Rather than finding a pub of our own, we thought it would be much better if we all meet up and visit the Fairmile Arms, Cobham - to join the Surrey guys.

For those who haven't been, the pub has a large lawn in front of it which is reserved for Subaru parking. Pub is easy to find from the M25.

Surrey always get a good turnout so with us as well, it should be a good meet.

Fairmile Arms
Portsmouth Road
Cobham
Surrey
KT11 1BW

Map: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=KT11...gl=uk&t=h&z=16

The meet starts from 1pm at the Fairmile, so folks can meet us there or at Pease Pottage/suitable place for the convoy up.

bump, this is this weekend folks. looking like about 35 cars now

For those who want to convoy from Pease Pottage, we'll be meeting from 12 noon and leaving there at 12:20pm to head up to the Fairmile (via M23/M25).

Or you can meet us at the pub for about 1pm. If you haven't been before, we'll be parking on the grass area in from of the pub, rather than using the car park.

Sorry I couldn't make it - the car's in bits. I got up at 6 to get it done in time (wife was pleased about that), but just couldn't get it done in time. Just finished now - finally!

Hope you had a good meet. I'll see you at the next one

No worries Greg - as per Tim's question, what you been up to??

Meet was quite a bit smaller that expected, think we had 6 scoobs at Pease Pottage? and then on to the Fairmile. Probably about 20-25 cars between us and Surrey.

Unfortunately the weather was crap, rained most of the time so i think that put some folk off. Thanks to those who made the effort though

Tim, Steve,
I got bored yesterday and thought I'd fit my FMIC. I thought it would be a quick job and would look good for the meet. It took alot longer than I anticipated. Made a silly mistake and forgot to tighten one of the jubilee clips - I got about 100m before it blew apart and the car died. Within about 5 mins a RB320 stopped to help me - don't you just love Subaru drivers

Sorry to miss catching up with everyone though - at least I'll see yours at the next one Tim and your boot Steve that I'm still waiting to see!

Great to see some SES cars there! Pity the weather wasn't a bit better as there would have probably been more folks show up.

Next time you gatecrash the Surrey meet, do it in June!

June will probably be about right for a re-visit to Surrey after we've rotated around the other counties
