Default yet another issue!!!

Small problem, when re fitting the speedo i must have miss fitted the speedo cable, cos when i get a speed on the needle goes mental, bouncing all over, it still goes up, but bounces all the way. I have tried disconnecting it and re connecting, but its not sorted, it was mildly better, but not right.
Am i missing something?

yeah i had a look, i cant pull it out of the box, so must be connected. I disconnected it at the adapter so i could get it connected at the dash properly, its still not right though.
It is the 2 piece one yeah.

ok, it seems to have sorted itself out now, fitting the new main relay, it gets weirder and weirder the deeper i go into the wiring. Either the wiring diagrams i have are not right, or someone has extensively messed with the wiring, and i mean extensively!!!

Only problem now, every now and then, i get a cel, then it goes away, the codes its throwing are 24 and 44, idle air and wastegate solenoids. Thing is its not all the time, and i dont know if its 'remembering' the code its throwing, because i know those 2 codes are directly related to the main relay. any ideas???

Hi, you can try cleaning the valve but mark it before taking it off so it goes back in the same position. I used brake cleaner when I did mine

apparently i cant tell the difference between 24 and 44, 24 being the idle air solenoid and 44, the current issue, being the wastegate solenoid.
its the waste gate solenoid not the idle air valve.
Numpty.

I'll blow some stuff through it, wd40 or similar. I dont use it but it is plumbed in the vacuum line.

i had a play with the solenoid last night, gave it a run through with some wd40, light came on briefly first thing, but hasnt been on since, so hopefully, its sorted now.
Just change a couple of coil packs and should be away!
