Default Is this a good deal?

I've got my scoob up for sale at the moment and have been proposed a deal. He wants to give me his pretty good spec 2001 lexus is200 and £500. Only problem is it's done 120k. Having looked around it seems they only go for 2k with that mileage. Should I push for his car plus 1k or just leave it!?

Worst thing is with the thought of actually selling it soon has made me realise how much I don't want to!

Lexus do go on for miles, so 120k is not much.

Got to think how much you would let your car go for.

His car + £500 is about £2500
His car + £1000 is about £3000

Is it worth it?

Also make sure you would be happy with a Lexus

Dont sell the car and dont swop with a lexus, not worth it buddy, be patient, then change your mind and keep it like we did with the wagon.

I would without a doubt keep the scoob if I had a sensible way of insuring it, cheapest quote I've had for this year is 3k and just can't justify that.

As for the lexus, I imagine it's not a bad car. Seems to be in very good condition. Wouldn't plan on keeping it too long though. It has 12 months mot and 6 months tax. I'm thinking if I could get 1k on top of my car it would be worth it. I'm just aware that I've got to be realistic about what I'm actually going to get for my car.

Cheers,
dave

3K!!!! Unless you are 17 with 11 points and live in the worst crime area in the world and your car has no alarm, I would say that is a little too much....by about 2k

Tried keith michaels, i think!!, and wouldnt quote. I'm 22, got 3 points for unsafe load which come off in october, 3 years NCB and never claimed. Live in upper ratton so shouldnt think thats too bad. What should I be paying?

meanwhile this chap has someone looking at his car tomorrow morning so he may be able to do cash which i would prefer.
