Re: Classic wheel fitment
Hello Mate...
My 215/35/18s are VERY close..... So I would have said they would be way to big! I'd guess with a high enough offset you might get them in the arch but I would guess they would change the rolling radius a fair bit too!

Re: Classic wheel fitment
225/35x18 on a classic with 8x18 rims.
Need to be sure the offset is OK too. Nothing less the ET51 or ET50 (at a push). I have some Falken (near new) 225/35x18 for sale if interested. |

Re: Classic wheel fitment
My old wheels were ET42.... I know I'm lowered but just for info 215/35/18 Toyo T1Rs just cleared the arches but the same size Prada Spec IIs rubbed very slightly! So it worth considering the shape of the shoulder as well!

Re: Classic wheel fitment
ET42 is too small for a scoob. Most aftermarket are wither ET45 ot ET48.
Prodrive 7.5x18 Alloys are ET53. |

Re: Classic wheel fitment
Comparing to my wheels/tyres which are 8x18 and 225/35x18 ET51 Toyo T1-R, the rough calculations work out to be as follows :
8x18 ET51 will protrude 50.6mm from hub face. 7.5x18 ET42 will protrude 53.25mm from hub face. Therefore your wheels stick out 2.65mm further despite being 7.5 inch rather then 8 inch If you then take into account the tyre tread width of 225 vs 215. An 8 inch rim is 203mm wide, so the 225 overhangs front/back by 11mm (approx, as it actually marginally wraps around). A 7.5 inch rim is 190mm wide, so the 215 overhangs front/back by 12.5mm This all roughly equates to : 8x18 ET51 225/35x18 protruding 61.5mm from hub 7.5x18 ET42 215/35x18 protruding 65.5mm from hub My wheel/tyre combination does rub/buzz very slightly over large compressions. Car is a UK spec running eibach springs. It does still have the rubber lip on the rear arch which, if removed, could give me the little extra clearance required. but only about 1mm ceratinly not 4mm. |

Re: Classic wheel fitment
Quote:
ET51 is only required for the 8x18 on a 225 Alot of the PFF7 7.5x18 inch copies on ebay come in either ET45 or ET48 depending on supplier. AFAIK only the Genuine Prodrive comes in 8x18 ET51. |
