Before I put the coil-overs on, my rear struts knocked like a bastard.
Although, now I have coil-overs fitted, I can't hear it because my ears bleed! |

If you are going to get some, these are seriously good ones to get.
Fully adjustable in all departments too, so they don't have to be bullet hard. |

If i didn't use the scoob for commuting, i'd definately do it. but the country roads between here and work are absolutely terrible. I'm also worried about how often coilovers might requiring servicing if they're always used on such rough roads |

i went for a quick spin in Nick's bugeye with the BCs on it and it seemed really good, but the road was in better shape than what i normally have to face! can you let me know how much it cost you to get them aligned and have the geo setup done by Dave at Gatwick? (pm if you want). Will obviously have to take that cost into consideration when weighing up options..... |

No probs mate.
Total cost as follows: Cusco Zero 2's @ £500.00 (jap Performance) Geo Check @ £80.00 1 set of 4 Lower adjustable arms @ £230.00 1 set Camber Bolts @ £35.00 Corner Weighting @ £210.00 Labour @ £240.00 Not cheap but some of the best money I have spent |

Was this recommended by Dave? Don't really see the point for every day driving unless your on a track every week!

It was recommended by Dave. That's because It's not my daily drive though and he could therefore set it up with a bit more camber.
It'll scrub my tyres pretty quickly in comparison though. But a trade off I am willing to make. |

Many thanks for the link, just lately heard this knocking thought it was due to lowering the car, resulting in me emptying the boot even the jack and spare wheel and still there was the annoying knock..!!
gunna look into getting the struts sorted so fingers crossed its cured ) |

Anyone got a set of old shocks they don't want?
I don't mind rebuilding a set and starting an exchange program |

Interesting..... i'm leaning towards replacing mine with standard (refurbed) or KYB shocks now rather than coilovers (i don't want to spend too much more money on the car otherwise i'll never save up enough to make the jump to an STI!).
Could we maybe sort something out if Iain's happy to rebuild them if i send some cash in both your directions? Then my old ones can be used as the next 'exchange' set |
