Spooky os On-board!
Good Morning to all in the SouthEast, or indeed beyond!
Very regular member / post whore on P1WOC and thought I’d sign up on here as I’m keen to get to a few meets in my area! Just a little info on me… Bit of an adrenaline junkie but mainly interested in snowboarding and kickboxing and to further fuel this addiction bought a P1 @ 20, insured at a 0:01 on my 21st birthday and driven it ever since! Now 24 in April this year. Melted a piston recently, so car is currently in for a full 2.1 stroker heart beat. Should be done in the next 2 months. I use the P1 as a treat when I feel like driving it be it on a summers evening in the week, blast at the weekend, or if I’m picking up a lady friend lol! I have a company car to mooch around in otherwise which really come in handly! Also done a bit of track with it, major buzz and was totally hooked! Been without the car for 3 months now The spec before it went in was: Engine: HKS 3” Hi-Power Strait through Centre pipe HKS 3” Hi-Power back box Group A 3" gas flowed down pipe, GT spec Gen II Tubular unequal length headers, Harvey Smith Custom up-pipe, Headers DEI Titanium heat-wrapped Up-pipe DEI Titanium heat-wrapped Downpipe DEI Titanium heat-wrapped RCM Hi Flow Induction, Lateral Performance MD304 Turbo, Power Enterprise 550cc flow matched injectors, Bob Rawle Remap, Walbro 255 Fuel Pump, NGK PFR7B spark plugs gapped to 0.6, 3 port boost control solenoid, Ported throttle body, Insulating manifold spacers, Header tank spacers, GT spec Gen II FMIC, J Performance High capacity Aluminium Radiator, Exedy Single Plate Organic Clutch, Fidanza 4.4kg Lightweight Flywheel, Prodrive Slam Panel, Full Samco setup. Here’s some pics and a vid…
And it sounded like this shortly before it retired :’o( It’s now gone in for the following: Closed Deck Block with under piston oil squirters Striped, cleaned, honed and bored Rear thrust converted 14mm head stud converted Machined block faces and modified oil ways 2150cc Stroker kit New 2.5 STi nitride crank cross drilled Manley steel H section rods and ARP2000 bolts Mahle 2618 race material lower deck stroker pistons, rings and pins ACL full RACE bearing set Full gasket/seal set 0.6mm 3 layer Cometic head gaskets ARP 14x12mm head bolt set Skim and clean cylinder heads 12mm RCM modified high flow oil pump New cam belt, rollers, and tensioner New modine oil cooler New sump pan and pick-up New water pump Fuel lab FPR complete with braided lines and pressure gauge Reversed fuel rails Cossie sump baffle plate RCM light-weight pulleys Nickel Plated Cool running thermostat. Then for uber-blingness I am getting parts painted or powder coated in 74F / Red / Black and replacing bolts with shiny stainless options: Painted engine block Rocker covers Header tank PS pump reservoir Timing belt cover Pulley cover Fan shroud Rad brackets Fuse box cover Ancillary brackets holding alternator / air-con / PS pump etc I look forward to pestering you all for info but also doing my bit for the community where I can. And hopefully attending some meets! |

Hi Spooky, welcome to SES, I to have a P1 which is also being re-built. Hope to have it back soon.
I must say yours does look very nice, especially with the " ornaments" drapped on it! I am also on P1WOC ( under another name ) so hopefully we will meet up at one of the meets soon. Cheers, Martryn. |
