Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
Right then, lets post it here so we don't get told off again
Did you get your scooby through a PLP as I did Steve? I have paid myself the extra money for the last 4 1/2 years as a dividend to get the tax down on it and claimed mileage. This one I am doing the same thing virtually but with a bit more in the kitty. Although I am flat out buying it and not going down a lease purchase with maintainence option. I have allowed more than enough to cover that. I did think about a New Cooper S myself, but when this came along at the silly price it is, I just couldn't ignore it. As I said in the other post, it is fully loaded with extras, leading me to think it is probably an ex demo car. You never know, I might not even like it................... but I doubt that. |

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
And the answer about the spoon is.
If the spoon is coated in semi-fluid grease then you can pass it through the gear box that is stuck in the middle of the wall next to the door. Simple as that really. |

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
Yes mate, similar type of deal. I had leased my old WRX and it seemed crazy to return a car after two years that had only done 12000 miles, when I actually would have kept it. So this time I opted to buy it, knowing I want to keep hold of it. Once its bought, it'll then be mine to do as i please with.
The M3 is a lovely motor. As much as I love the scooby, sometimes its nice to jump into something else - makes you realise how quick the scoob is and you dont take it for granted! Next time though, i'm not too bothered about owning something. I will prob just lease a GTi/cooper s for a year. As for the spoon

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
Ive got a 320 m sport company car,and the scoob feels like a rocket compared to the bmw.
Great car, smooth and fully spec'd but get blown away by most deisels. Assuming the spoon is the model chromium then simply shimmy on up to the wall and throw the twangle end first. |

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
Just make sure the indicators work Steve, cos i have yet to see a bmw with indicators that work
And make sure you get the parking permit that bmw supply.....so you have the right to park any fcuking where you want |

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
LOL at the Duke!!!
Yes Martyn! It's the twangle end that needs to be coerced through the gabbin bulge. You were quite right. Bit of KY on the bugle snuff, and a light prod, and the shelf will stay upright through inclement weather.

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
But isn't the twangle deemed irreversably scantlethwad by inclement weather?
I would have thought that you would be much better off by reconstituting your worrup with rum and leaving it in a dark place for the winter............ like Sittingbourne? |

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
I hope you haven't gone for the psychic indicators and bellendtronic option that most BMW drivers opt for...
Sorry, just don't like BMW's. Nor the stereotypical drivers of them that you seem to get around my way. Fortunately most of them have now moved over to Volvo XC90's or Audi Q7's because they are BIGGER! I hope you are very happy with it

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
I know what you mean mate.
BMW drivers come with pretty **** reputations. They reckon though that the cocks who previously drove beemers are now in Audi's as you said. The one thing I am going to enjoy on Sunday is turning up in the Scooby, and telling them that I just need something slower for during the week. I'll keep the quick one for the weekends |

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
Well I had a 3 beemers before I got the scoob
and I still like driving them every so often because there is just something about them

It's like all cars though, Volvo drivers have a bad rep because some people drive them so poorly, some scooby drivers are complete donuts and everyone gets tarnished with the same tag? But..................................... as Rob Said.............................................. . you eventually saw sense |

Watch what you say about Volvo drivers! I'm doing my best to get them a NEW reputation! Should've seen the look I got from a lad in a chav mobile as I went past and left him Mind you, these D5's don't half shift

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
Volvos are cool matey We both come from the T5 generation, when Ridell and Harvey were tearing the BTCC apart in T5 estates
The problem with Volvos is the few that are "Captain Slow Middle Lane Hogger @ **** all MPH" that irritates people. Then everyone who says they drive a volvo gets looked at as if they were one! BMW drivers, it's nice and easy with.......... That's why there is such good storage in the centre consol on a beemer............................... so that when the driver gets in, they can store their common sense and courtesy in there! |

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
Seen 5 that I like including a 911 turbo.
The Turbo is to say the least "pushing the bounderies" price wise, but is ultimately tempting. Will be going over there to talk to them at some point. |

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
I was having a shocker!
Because of the fact I am buying it instead of leasing and giving back, I am after something half decent that I can enjoy driving in. I hasten to add, these are all second hand that I'm looking at! No silly money passing hands here The first thing I will be doing (this will look good on the back of the Carrera 2 I am interested in for sure) is getting my sticker guy to make the following sticker, with a smiling "Pig E" at the end. MY FAST CAR IS A SCOOBY! Ideally I would like to stick it on while I am picking it up |

For sure Rich
Trouble then, the RS4 will be quicker than the Scoob,Superb car though. Get a luxury cruiser mate, then you got best of both worlds. You could re-mortgage and get an RS8 |

Re: How to place a spoon on a shelf where there is no connecting
If you get a Porker you could jump between that and the scoob and switch between being a Cock to a Chav in less time then it take you to get to 60
Get the ultimate Wagon and get the RS4 Avant....show the wagon squadron how to really fly. |
