Default Prosport Gauge problems

Steve and I both have the same problem with our Prosport gauges. You can have a white or amber display, but both set of gauges will only work on white.I have the added problem that the oil pressure and oil temp gauge are not showing any readings, meaning a problem with the sensors or sandwich plate?.Gauges fitted by Matt.

how do you switch between colours ?
Are the sensors single wired or twin wire.
If they are single then check the connection between the metal case of the sensor and earth (Chassis/Battery-)
If they are twin check your earths.

Do they not read at all or do they go full scale deflection i.e read max all the time.

Hi scott,

When you wire them you have the choice of white of orange. They are single wires. Mine read fine. Terrys I believe read nothing. I will check the things you have said. Thanks mate.

I had a problem with my boost gauge not reading when i fitted it, was down to a poor connection on the back of the gauge. They are really small pins in those plugs, so try unplugging them then plug them back in making sure they are plugged in tight. Worked on my boost gauge.

I won't use them again, everytime my boost gauge calibrates itself it never zero's, always reads different.

Had no probs with mine. I fitted to top of number 3 for temp, oe position for presure. Wired to oe clock fitment. My only prob was getting the wires through into the cab. Not sure on the sanwich plate jobies as i dont think you get a true reading .only my opinion.
