To benifit from coil overs you need to have corner balancing done and your geo settings, this will cost about 300 quid. Gatwick subaru did mine and Worzels, they take the car to a specialist for the balancing and then they set the geo up.
Guys if buying second hand, make sure the height adjuster rings are free and good condition, make sure the damper ajusters are free and move from soft to hard ok. I would suggest if your buying from jap performance, check there web site to see what they have and then do a google for some review data. Jap perfomance have a good few sets of coil overs for classics at the moment, They generally ask for up to 70% of new cost, so make sure they are spot on. I know worzel got a mint set and they make the car sit and feel awsome. Good luck |

And to bear in mind that 9 times out of 10 you wil lose ride comfort to a degree,
Ive got teins on mine and they are superb on track but bloody hard for the road!!

KW's get good reviews in redline which is prob the most informative and least piss taking mag on the shelves.
Not sure what they are like on a Scoob though, but maybe better setup for european roads then some of the jap stuff. http://www.kw-suspension.co.uk/variant-3.htm they also do a variant 1 which is about £400 cheaper Last edited by Scott.T; 27-11-2009 at 11:09 PM. |

Just go for the BCs you know you want to
If anybody wants to try the BCs in a new age give me a shout at a meet. |

I know a big KW agent so if you want me to try to see what he can do price
wise i can ask him, ive come from the Dub scene which ive been in for years and KW's reputation is second to none for both performance and quality. Ive also heard great things about BC and the fact that lowering the platform height does not affect suspension travel like most coilovers. I do know firsthand that i wouldnt buy Teins if i was solely going to use them on a road car!

For those of you with newage cars these have just gone up for sale
http://www.hampshiresubaru.co.uk/php...p?f=16&t=13672 Only 100miles of use ,the guy seems to be selling half his car so would think his been a victim of the financal climit , if i could justify it then they would be sold but still paying for the engine
