Quck bit of advice on wheels please!
I have seen a set of 18" Prodrive anthracite alloys off of a 2008 STi for a good price. I know the pcd etc is 114 so I am assuming they will fit mine?
Also, am I right in thinking that going from 17's to 18's will require a tweak to the map (something to do with gearing)? I seem to remember JGM saying if i go bigger it may need tweaking?.

Thats a new one to me.
I know that you get asked what size you are on when being mapped, my assumption of this (probably wrong) was this was all to do with the road dyno? |

The overall circumfrance of the wheel/tyre remains the same, unless you put Carlos Fandango tyres on, then it does upset gearing and the like.
Would like nice on your car, get them done red... |

Steve, have a look here to see which tyre size will give you the same rolling diameter
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html The only other thing about the MY08 cars is whether the offset is the same, which could give you clearance issues. Afraid I don't know the answer. |

Right, I've established that the new wheels will fit but they have 245 tyres on them rather than the 235 that is recommended for my car. Will this affect it in any way?
