Default Anyone wish Subaru made a modern, fast wagon...

... now you can make your own.

The MCM guys have taken a written off WRX STI and a well specd Levorg and with surprisingly little trouble have made something Subaru could have made, a Levorg STI. Its not just a Levorg with a Turbo 2.5 in it either, it's the full mechanical running gear.

First video here, there's 2 subsequent ones with more to follow and they're worth a watch.

Honestly this is why I love subaru, they are literally lego cars ! I know they get a lot of hate for unreliability but on the flip side you have about 30 years worth of EJ20 (and EJ25) cars with (mostly) interchangable parts albiet you might need to be good at wiring and electronics to get the classics working with the newage parts. Not to mention a massive aftermarket selection.

I have a 1993 V1 WRX and although its 29 years old im not worried about parts availability as I know that between 1993-2019 theres parts out there which I can make work even if its not a straight fit!
