Default BMW i8

Car was in for service today so walked around to the BMW dealership next door. Nice black, BMW i8 coupe.
Looked very tasty, dealer said only had a 3 cylinder engine, but part hybrid. Anybody know anything about them?

One of the directors at a company i worked for back in about 2015 had one when they first came out.

They looked nice but i came to the conclusion it was a sporty car trying to be and look like a super car. Never driven one so can’t really comment but they seemed very appealing for a short space of time and then they seemed to have turned into the forgotten car.

I imagine one day they will be a future classic.

Thanks Red Baron, really interesting video. The one I looked at was a black coupe and it looked the bees. Think I'll probably stick with the Scooby.
