Default New wheels

It’s been a while, what with everything going on, but though it was time I posted up the new wheels that replaced the Focus RS a few months ago.

It was an itch to scratch as someone famous on here once (or twice) said

A 2013 Cayman S. 27,000 miles, full Porsche history and pretty much every option ticked from new. The first owner did over 20k on extras

The best thing is easily the 3.4 flat 6 that whales away behind your head. It’s a very different power delivery to the RS or the scoobs as it builds and builds and between 6000 and 7500 it’s fantastic. I’m not normally a fan of autos but the PDK is epic. It’s got the sports switchable exhaust which is nice as closed is fairly quiet, but open it’s awesome.

I’d forgotten what an absolute B***h black is to clean though!!

Sorry, I can’t seem to get the picture any bigger than that?

Looks really nice Steve.

If that's inside your garage then I'm really jealous

it started out as painting the walls white and ended up insulating it, panelling it out inside and new flooring. And I’m still getting ear ache for it as our bathroom still needs changing

So it's your garage, I thought you were keeping your car in the lounge.

Cheers Steve. The garage did get a bit out of hand, but it’s my sanctuary and means I can clean the car in the winter in the dry and warm. Worth every penny

Cheers chaps. Hope you are all keeping well Dave?

Ian - the RB320 bug, I still have. I can see me having one one day as a weekend toy. Maybe when the Porsche thing runs it’s course ( if it does!) or, an ‘as well as’ to sit next to the Porsche. I don’t use the Porsche daily. I have a 2013 Peugeot 107 runaround which is the polar opposite of the Porsche but is cheap as chips as a daily and I don’t care where I leave it.

I had so many good years in my scoob with all the adventures we all had, that I don’t think that will ever leave me. I have always regretted selling my hawk, though at the time financially it made sense as we invested in the business, but I still miss it. It was for sale about 2 years ago on Pistonheads and I was so tempted, but it had 80000 miles on it and wasn’t looking like it did, so I decided not to go back. An RB though on the other hand could be fun.
