Default Anyone know their bulbs? 💡

Wondering if anyone can tell me what bulb this is?

Having tried an LED I know that it is a 12V but can’t find the bulb type anywhere at the moment.

It seems like the JDM and UK spec have different bulbs.

It has come from the heater console and sits behind the dials for temp, speed etc.

Cheers

That first bulb isn't an LED, it's just a filament bulb with long leads.

I didn’t explain that very well.
Tried a 5v LED and it blew straight away so I’m guessing it’s 12v. Don’t have a multimeter to check but will grab one to take a look.
The original bulb was the standard filament (the one in the middle) but I cant find a filament that small anywhere which is why i tried led which seem to be a lot smaller. The Smaller LED for but the larger one was too big.

No writing on the bulb and searches seem to go nowhere!

If you want to go down the LED route these would probably work.

They're 3mm, not sure what size the original bulb is.

Thanks Red Baron

These are too big and have a resistor soldered in which makes it impossible to fit into the little twisty fixture that holds it behind the dials.

I am going to head to a breakers and see if I can rip them out of an old dash

Hadn't realised they had to wind round something. Knew I had a link to these somewhere as they're the same as the ones used in the Hazard and Heated window switches in a classic, worth a try if Simon can't find his console.

Thanks Red Baron - have ordered a set of these so will let you know how I get on once they arrive.

Fingers crossed that solves it.

Cheers for the help!

These were not exactly the same if anyone else needs to do this - the bulbs were ever so slightly smaller which meant that the little green caps that go over them had to be moulded into the plastic mounting with a bit of manoeuvring.

Worked a treat though.

Replaced all four while I was mucking about with it - photo shows before and after.

Thanks @Red Baron and @555 Si for your help
