Cool. There's a link on the fb page to contact the organiser if the bosses would like to take over 👍

What, the one where Madeira drive was closed as nobody planned it with Brighton Council, then the best part of a hundred scoobs ended up gridlocked in the Marina multi-storey?

If people are still interested in this, just crossed paths with the event page on FB. If there is enough interest I’ll be going.

I live in Seaford so if I'm child free should be able to attend. Will need to confirm though

If you’re coming from T.Wells I presume you’ll be using the A23 to enter Brighton not the coast road?

I was at the football at the Amex until about 6ish, saw a few convoys of Jap stuff heading into town via the A27 as I was leaving. Weather was grim though, couldn't imagine anything worse than standing around on the seafront, it was cold and windy as well as raining. Nah thanks

Myself and two friends popped down. We didn't bother with getting wet on Madeira Drive, went straight to the Marina multi storey. Plenty of other Subaru's there.

Got a bad write up in the local rag!

'Boy Racers'...

To be fair, it's always a minority of people who give us genuine enthusiasts a bad name. I mean I like to drive 'enthusiastically', but only when it's called for and away from residential areas.

Hilarious how some people responded though, it wouldn't be so bad if they understood what the scene is all about.

To be fair though, half the people who live in the Marina are stuck up toffs anyways!

I can see both sides of the argument. I used to live a few miles from here and it was known as a Saturday night meeting point for cars and bikes, for mainly unofficial meets with youngsters whose only mod was a big exhaust. I guess it could get quite wearing for local residents. I've been on a few organised meets there and even then their is always a few doughnuts driving much to fast in a public area. In the weather conditions Steve describes 400 cars was a good turnout.
