Fuel smell

For the last few days the FSTI smells of fuel on the inside is it because of the bloody cold weather and there is no leaks before anyone asks .

Are you sure there are no leaks, the cold weather had caused my lower radiator hose to start leaking where it joins the engine, had been fine up until last week after I changed it in July, just needed nipping up.

Yes defo no leaks parking space is bone dry underneath even after running the foz for a few mins to warm up before driving the foz doesn't get used everyday either lol .

Won't take much for a fuel smell to enter the car, doesn't have to be dripping, has it had a pump change at all, may be worth a look round the top of the tank round the sender and pump unit to make sure everything is sealed ok.

Check hose clips from inlet to fuel filter the hose shrinks in the cold and causes smell. You won't find a small fuel leak as just evapes before you see it. Open the bonnet , and simply prime the pump then use your nose to to investigate..

Still on oem fuel pump might end up replacing that at some point .

This. It was a big issue a few years back on the bugeyes and Subaru issued a bulletin for their dealers to fix it for free after VOSA got involved. Was a fairly big job as inlet manifold had to come off to replace hoses.

I wouldn't be surprised if the same issue affected the Foz as well. Take a read over here....

Well Looks like it could be a good time to replace for the safety of the wifey and the wee man .
