Hopefully these are visible to everyone and not just the admin and moderators now Ignore the post in the general pics section, it's a double post as I didn't think this one had worked.
It was only last minute that I went, I was off on Friday with the kids as it was an inset day at the school and then I got offered a free ticket, with free entry for under 13s it seemed daft not to take them along for the day. Definately worth a visit, although quieter on the Friday it's only qualifying so it's probably better on the weekend. Loads to see and do for everyone and the attention to detail is unbelievable, no laminated passes on neck bands here, it's all cardboard armbands stating team and role etc. The only modern vehicle are the emergency and some of the bigger recovery stuff although there was a whole fleet of series 1 landrovers towing most of the stuff back. Rowan Atkinson was brilliant in full Mr Bean mode and annoying as old Tiff is he was the only one that was willing to make conversation with my daughter while she was getting autographs. |

so is the revival held down at the circuit, rather than up in the grounds of Goodwood house like the Festival of Speed?? |

Yes Steve, on the circuit is where the classics actually race. I believe you can see them all in the paddock also, not 100% on that though, may next year I will be able to get there. I am surprised Subarman does go every year, not that he needs an excuse to dress up. |

Cracking pics mate.
Darryl (Crow STi) usually goes to this and says it's an absolutely brilliant day out. |

Most of the stuff is available to walk around in the paddock but there were a couple of bits you could only look into from behind a small fence, Ithink this was the paddock that had all the really expensive stuff like the 250 GTOs and Aston Martin DBR4s. They all have to be driven past you to get to the track so probably the best chance of getting photos and the like. They have a Revival Market as well selling everything from period clothing to restored Retro Petrol Pumps and Juke Boxes as well as loads of book and model stalls and stands selling reproduction items for classic cars.
There is a seperate field for pre 72 vehicles that you have to walk through to get from the main car park to the track and this is like a Classic Car Show in itself with a huge range of stuff that had been driven from all over the world. Definately worth a visit. Shane |
