Why yellow stuff and what brake fluid have you got?

Felt they would be a good balance between road and track pads...

Used to use Motul 600 but now have PF 600 which has a slightly lower dry and wet boiling point.

PF665 is slightly better than motul 600.
Your brakes shouldn't be different temps left to right by as much as that, could be one side getting cooled more than the other for some reason, wrap a bit of reflective tape round the brake servo and reservoir + clutch reservoir too,

I'd possibly switch out the yellow stuff for something slightly more serious when the change is due, but I'd get my moneys worth first

Thanks mate - appreciate your feedback... Lydden is all right handers besides one left, would this account for the passenger side being so much hotter? Or am I talking pogwash as always pmsl!

Well you should be braking in a straight line, but if you're trail braking everywhere then that could make a difference, wouldn't think it would be as much as that but who knows, I normally read about 5/15 degrees difference.

Default Track Day Lydden Hill....

Apart from first run I was def braking in straight lines -

Perhaps I have an issue - next time it's tracked I'll have a proper look

Still had good time tho - and Rob was like a fish in water

I've never preached that I'm a track nut (prob why I don't appease some people ) but I did have fun and that in my eyes is what counts

It looked great from the onboard if the wheel stays perfectly straight when you brake and doesn't tug in either direction slightly I'd say all ok, and maybe ducting / cooling will balance it out and allow you to lean on them even harder

Thanks Dave

Yeah didn't feel like it was pulling unevenly - prob just my dodgy braking

I'll speak with you at our next meet regarding brake cooling and what would be best - ur setup is amazing but I wouldn't even know where to start in doing something like that.

Got to sort the rear drop link and control arm swap out first. Then the sump, oil pump, timing belt kit, and catch can all of which are sat in my office waiting ha ha ha...

I really didn't like Yellowstuff pads.

EBC quality control seems hugely variable to me.

I'd agree that it's worth trying something different/better.

How did you find the K Sports felt and performed compared to your old Brembos?

Obviously pads, fluid, the nature of the track and all the other variables all stack up in defining a braking experience, but curious what you thought of how they stacked up?

The actual brake performance was good when stomping on them... 8-pots and 356mm discs certainly give u more braking power..

I just think mine could have done with longer to bed in and if someone like rob or Dave had taken them on track they would have used them much better than i...

Overall the force of stopping was better than brembos...

All the pictures and videos came out well, was a fantastic day, I wish I had taken my car.
I could have taken the civic on the track ha ha, that would have been fun.....
But I enjoyed the passenger runs with Jason..
