Default How often do you use your Scooby?

Evening everyone!

Been looking for an Impreza STI for a while now and I'm just wondering how often you guys/girls use yours?

I've got a daily Juke derv through work (I'm a car salesman - don't judge me too much!) that does most of the work and a track specced 106 so with a full time job, I'm just seeing if I'd be in the same boat with only using it once or twice a week? Do you have the feeling of 'what's the point in having it if it's not getting used that much?'

Thanks in advance!

Once every 1/2 weeks but every time I do reminds me how much I love them... worth the wait!

Try and take it out once week, even if it's only to pick my youngest up from school, if I drove it every day I wouldn't have a licence. It's not losing me any money sitting in the garage and taxing and insuring it is probably cheaper than smoking or a season ticket to watch overpaid people kick a bit of plastic around once a week.

Best response ever Shane!!

I use mine 2-3 times a week. I used to own two - one which was my mildly tuned daily and the other highly tuned for track/weekends/occasional commute. Aside from sitting in traffic, the smiles over the miles were always worth every minute of it.

Nowadays I've gone back to having one as I use public transport - but for a shopping run, gym, odd commute or a blast - even just cruising around - it's all a reminder of why it's such a fun car.

I'm lucky if either of mine get used in a year. Think RB5 has been used once this year.

Mine was used for 3 days in an entire year. This wasn't due to not wanting to, it was due to her heart giving out, she's in the surgery now and being operated on, can't wait for her new heart to be fully pumping again !!!

I'm only on about 6k miles a year, weekend use. Only live half hour from work, so I cycle in. But sometimes I'll find an excuse to bring the Scoob in!

Drive mine most days, been out this morning, pure enjoyment on the empty roads we have here. Our other car, Renault Captur, is practical and very economical, but will never put a smile on your face.

I've taken mine out three times for no reason since i bought it. The other times I've been out have been taking people out in it, so yes, I do sometimes think what's the point. But then I look forward to attending meets and shows etc and I think do I want to be without it and the answer is no. I'm happy not to use it a lot to be honest. It makes it more special when I do and as Shane says, my license wouldn't last long if I was out in it all the time! My last one I used a lot and as much as I loved it, it got a bit boring, as did the associated running costs.

I used to use my Scoob as a daily (did that for about three years) and I enjoy it far more now it's a weekend toy.

I try to get it out at least once a month over the winter, and it normally gets used two or three times a month during the summer. Sometimes for shows/meets, sometimes just for fun!

I commute to work in my blob wagon once a week (keeps the battery charged!) and there are a few bits of the journey where I get to have some fun. My boy always wants to go in the 'noisy car' to swimming or whatever too. We also use it for longer trips to visit the family in Cornwall, and to go on holiday elsewhere in the UK, about 3 times a year - partly because our other car is a Nissan Leaf so it's a pain to do more than 100 miles a day in that. I also use the Scoob for track events whenever I can. Have averaged about 7K miles a year in the ~3 years I've had it.

Not sure if there's another car you can get for £3K and use for commuting, family holidays and lapping Silverstone!

I try to use mine only 2 times per week, at the weekend and once during the week to keep thing ticking over.

It's not economical to use it for work as taking the bus is far cheaper if a lot longer to travel (15min vs 50min), and I don't get caught in the regular traffic jams leaving the office (we're in a cul-de-sac). It's probably why after 13yrs my old WRX had only done 86,000km, but was good for the trade-in price.
