Default Boost solenoid clean

Has anyone cleaned their boost solenoid before, I'm getting a little bumpy acceleration and was told to give it a clean. I have a hawkeye and was wondering where it was.

in-front of the drivers side suspension strut normally behind a little black plate/mounting bracket, will have 2 vacuum pipes from the turbo attached to it, (be surprised if that's the reason though)

I'm grasping at straws, around 2000rpm it stutters on slow acceleration and I get on off boost then at about 2500rpm it's fine.

Does it do it consistently or only on cold start?

That's a common complaint with the 2.5 Foresters... a little stutter early in the rev range on cold start.

Lumpiness could also be the MAF.

All the time, need to get it mapped anyway so it may come up then. Doesn't show anything on diagnostic check either.

Gave the boost solenoid a good flush and clean, it has made some difference but a plug change this weekend as well will start ruling things out.
