Default Cone/induction filters

Saw this on scoobynet/ebay, and wondered what difference they make compared to the OEM air filter setup?

What other things need changing if you switch to a cone filter setup? MAF? Remap?

For under 350 to 400bhp a green panel filter works well. Over that the RCM filters work well.
