Ripper
Going on holiday to South America for a month, with 8 internal flights so going to spend lots of time at airports. Want to load some Dvds on to my Samsung tablet , so question is how do I do it. Had a look on line and looks like I might need a "ripper"?. Can anyone help and if I do need a ripper , which one should I get. Thanks.

As a suggestion why don't you just download an app called SHOWBOX.
This will allow you to stream or download as many movies as you want and its free |

Not done this for a while, the DVD manufacturers were constantly coming up with new anti piracy measures to stop this, even if you wanted to make a "backup" of something you'd paid for. The easiest way is to "obtain" previously ripped files, stick them on a micro SD card and play them using something like VLC Media Player on your tablet. VLC will play pretty much any format you can throw at it.

Thanks will look at SHOWBOX, but may not work as our internet speed is dire. Red Baron, could I load the DVD onto my computer, which has a DVD player, then transfer to an SD card, then put card in tablet and play with VLC? You can probably tell this is not my specialist subject.Thanks.
