Default Update on my mate's cars

Some of you may remember a few years ago when I went out for a meal with my mate from school and he said I could chose which car we went in. I can't recall all of the cars I could choose from but this was the one everyone guessed but were wrong:

He still has it after more than 10 years of ownership.

During 2016 he had a GT3RS

and a GT4

and took delivery of a rare Gullwing.
That's it, just next to the 918 (didn't I mention that? )

He does like his comfort too, so although the Bentley Turbo R he took me out in has gone he's got this for when the sun shines:

On the race-car front he'll be campaigning these two again this year:

(Group C Spice)

and this

(WSC Lola T70)

Oh, and just in this week:

I know there are others but these should be enough to keep us all drooling for a while!

The F12 TdF is his car, but the picture wasn't taken in his garage, so the F50 in the background isn't his. Richard Tipper @perfectionvalet has done quite a bit for him this year, so you may have seen some of the pics before if you follow him on Twitter.

XRS - What does your mate do? Nosey I know, but I'm always interested in how wealthy folk made their money.

Scott, you're right - I must try harder.

He had property businesses and he was also into electrical engineering contracting. Right from the time we were young he just had a natural flair for business. He has also made money by buying the right cars at the right time.

I've just remembered the 458 Speciale and the FF I don't have pictures of

A flair for business and property is a pretty good combo!

It's very impressive. I always find people's stories interesting. A client of mine is worth several hundred million quid, all earned through the import of frozen chickens, essentially. Obviously there is a bit more to it, but how he achieved it is just incredible.

All entrepreneurs and really successful people seem to have several things in common, which you just can't teach. I wish you could as I'd be brainwashing my kids with it... I'm certainly giving it a go all the same!!

I also think you need a bit of luck. When I was in computing the guy I worked with got made redundant and a friend talked him into investing in the import of laminate flooring. One of thefirst to do it and became a multi millionaire.

I have never met your mate, but I already dislike him intensely!

What a collection: the F40 and GT3 are dream car material and I love his choice of racing cars!

Would he be up for Oliver doing a feature on his collection and perhaps also drive out footage (Beachyhead, if he's local) similar to what Oliver did for Source Luxurt. It would be good work experience for him.
PM me if so.

This is what Oliver pulled together :
