I have one, it's a great little camera and streets ahead of previous models, and probably most others out there. I got it after I initially bought one of those cheap Chinese action cams, which in comparison are nowhere near as good, and why they are cheap.

Got mine from Amazon UK back on late September as they dropped the price and as the Pound vs Euro had tanked, I got it for €60 cheaper than on Amazon DE.

I recommend you search YouTube for some reviews, they're not all postive but none of the negative ones have been of any concern for me. They've also improved a few things with updates so some reviews might not take this into consideration.

If it's any thing like my hero 4 black then you'll need spare batteries if not powered

Yes, but this is true of all action-cams/dash-cams, but the recent update for the 5 has disabled 3rd party batteries so be aware. There's been a huge backlash from the community so I expect some kind of reversal of this change in the next update.

I paid £342 on Amazon, when the normal price was about £390 if I recall.
